Disney has announced its last Marvel release for Disney+ in 2025. It’s been a successful year for Marvel on streaming, with both major movie releases like Fantastic Four: First Steps and Thunderbolts, and original series such as Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart becoming available to viewers.
Disney+ announced that Marvel’s Madame Web was the final Marvel project added to the streaming service in 2023. The film became available on November 14th, finishing off a busy year of Marvel content on Disney+.

Interestingly, Madame Web shares a connection with the recent LEGO Avengers: Strange Tails special. Both were released on the same day, with LEGO Avengers: Strange Tails being Marvel’s last Disney+ release for 2025.
Released in February 2024, Madame Web was a Sony Pictures film intended to launch a new Spider-Man-related universe, but that plan has since been cancelled. The movie stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in New York City who suddenly develops the ability to see the future. Unfortunately, the film received very negative reviews, scoring only 10% on Rotten Tomatoes and is widely considered to be one of the worst Marvel films ever made.
Breaking Down Marvel’s 2026 Streaming Calendar
Winter/Spring

- Wonder Man – January 27, 2026
- Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 – March 4, 2026*
Marvel’s movie and TV schedule for 2026 begins on January 27th with the Disney+ release of Wonder Man. The new series, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), centers around an aspiring actor auditioning for a superhero movie. During his pursuit of the role, he unexpectedly develops actual superpowers.
Next, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will focus on the intense story of Daredevil: Born Again. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a lawyer who secretly fights crime as a vigilante. In season 2, Daredevil will face off against the powerful and dangerous Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio.
Originally, the second season of Daredevil: Born Again was scheduled to premiere on March 4, 2026. However, Disney has removed that date from its official listings, leaving fans uncertain about when the show will actually be released.
Summer

- X-Men ’97 Season 2 – Summer 2026
Marvel’s X-Men are set to have a major 2026, starting with a glimpse in next December’s Avengers: Doomsday. But fans won’t have to wait that long – Season 2 of X-Men ’97 will arrive beforehand, offering another dose of Mutant adventures.
The popular reboot of X-Men: The Animated Series will continue its story in Season 2, with the X-Men facing off against the formidable villain, Apocalypse.
We don’t have a firm release date for X-Men ’97 Season 2 yet, but it’s expected to come out next summer.
Fall

- Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 – Fall 2026
I’m so excited! After we get the amazing Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it looks like Disney+ is going to keep the Spidey love going! They’ve announced that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which everyone loved, is coming back next year – Fall 2026, to be exact. It’s great news for all of us fans!
I’m so excited for Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man! It’s going to follow Peter Parker – though this version is from a different universe than the Spider-Man we’ve seen with Tom Holland – as he deals with being a teenager and, you know, saving the city as Spider-Man. It’s going to be great seeing his adventures continue!
Season 1 hinted at big battles with classic Spider-Man villains, and Season 2 looks set to deliver! We can expect to see Spider-Man facing off against popular enemies like Doctor Octopus, the Chameleon, the Scorpion, and Norman Osborn.
TBD

- VisionQuest – Late 2026
- Punisher Special Presentation – Unknown
- Spidey and His Amazing Friends Season 5 – Unknown
Marvel has three movies planned for 2026 that don’t have firm release dates yet, but they’re expected to stream on Disney+ sometime next year.
First up is VisionQuest, the concluding chapter in the WandaVision story. This new series follows Vision, played by Paul Bettany, as he rebuilds his life after being completely reconstructed at the end of the 2021 WandaVision series. VisionQuest is currently slated for release in late 2026.
Next year, Marvel Studios will release a special presentation focusing on the Punisher. This R-rated story will star Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, continuing the series of special presentations that began with Werewolf By Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The story will feature Frank Castle confronting a new villain, believed to be the formidable Ma Gnucci from the comics.
Good news for young viewers! A new season of the popular show Spidey and His Amazing Friends is coming next year. Season 2 has been confirmed, though details about the episodes haven’t been released yet.
