This Crunchyroll Hidden Gem Fantasy Anime Finally Got an English Dub (And New Episodes Are Coming)

Crunchyroll has recently added an English dub to a popular fantasy anime that many people may have missed. New episodes will be released every week. English dubs have become increasingly popular with anime fans, who often prefer watching shows with English voices. This is especially true for a new generation of fans, and now more people have the opportunity to enjoy a great fantasy series they might not have discovered otherwise.

Crunchyroll recently released the English dub for the first season of Let This Grieving Soul Retire. All 13 episodes of the first part of the series are now available. The English dub for the second part will start in December, releasing weekly. If you’ve been waiting to watch, now’s the time – this fantasy action comedy is truly unique!

What Is Let This Grieving Soul Retire?

Inspired by the light novel series of the same name, Let This Grieving Soul Retire! isn’t a typical isekai fantasy. The story centers on Krai Andray, a treasure hunter known as “Thousand Tricks” – people think he’s a brilliant strategist who always anticipates everything. This reputation actually comes from the incredible strength of his team, the Grieving Souls, who are famous Hunters with a legendary history.

This group of friends has known each other since childhood, but Krai is the weakest member, relying on luck and the help of his friends to get by. He avoids effort whenever possible, yet trouble always seems to find him. The series is enjoyable because it cleverly plays with the contrast between Krai’s perceived weakness (based on misunderstandings, as he doesn’t boast) and his surprising achievements. It’s a lighthearted show set in a vibrant and imaginative fantasy world, with each episode offering more fun.

What to Know for the English Dub

The first 13 episodes of Let This Grieving Soul Retire! are now available on Crunchyroll, with new dubbed episodes released every week. The English dub features a talented cast, including Aaron Dismuke as Krai, Tia Ballard as Tino, Trina Nishimura as Liz, Megan Shipman as Lucia, Cris George as Ansem, Ethan Connor Condon as Luke, Kate Bristol as Sitri, and Joe Cucionotti as the narrator. Many other voice actors will also bring a variety of characters to life.

Many anime fans prefer watching with English dubbing, and now’s a great time to start Let This Grieving Soul Retire! The anime is nearing the end of its first season this fall, so new viewers will have plenty of episodes to enjoy before it concludes.
