Ray J is facing legal trouble.

Police in Los Angeles confirmed to NBC News that the artist, whose legal name is Willie Ray Norwood Jr., was arrested on Thanksgiving for allegedly making criminal threats.

On November 27th, around 4 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Norwood after responding to a report of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence, according to NBC News and a police statement.

Norwood, age 44, was arrested but released the same day after someone paid his $50,000 bail, according to public records.

A video published by TMZ on November 27th seems to show Ray J and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Princess Love, arguing. NBC News and TopMob News have not yet confirmed the video’s authenticity. The couple married in 2016.

The video, initially broadcast live, shows Norwood and Love, parents of a 7-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, seemingly arguing about their children. The video then appears to show Norwood taking out a handgun.

Love, seemingly with her daughter Melody, accused Norwood of pointing a gun at her, but Norwood denied the accusation.
