GTA 6 animation footage appears to have leaked online

Because fans are eagerly awaiting news about GTA 6, a recent demo reel appears to have offered a sneak peek at what the game might be like.

This video reel comes from Benjamin Chue, a former developer at Rockstar Games, and features animations that don’t seem to have been used in any previously released Rockstar title.

A Reddit user named throwaway-sadkid8012 first noticed a roughly two-minute video featuring clips from Max Payne 3, GTA 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Interestingly, the video begins with animations not seen in those games, leading some to believe they may be from the upcoming GTA 6.

Man, it’s kinda frustrating! This little leak popped up just weeks after Rockstar pushed back the GTA 6 release date again – now we’re looking at November 19th, 2026. And it’s been almost seven months since that first trailer dropped back in May 2025. I’m still hyped, but the wait is killing me!

The demo reel starts with animations of a man taking a ‘LomBike’ off a rack, riding it, and then returning it. The bike’s name hints at a connection to Lombank, a bank featured in both Grand Theft Auto 4 and Grand Theft Auto 5.

Based on trailers, it looks like players will be able to rent bicycles in the game, as bike racks have been seen in the footage.

The second clip features a woman climbing into the bed of a truck and then jumping off the roof. She bears a strong resemblance to the character Lucia, though she appears as a simple, untextured model.

Keep in mind that not all of these animations are from actual gameplay. Many come from cutscenes or non-playable characters, meaning they might not be part of the final game experience.

It’s been more than six months since we’ve gotten any official news about GTA 6, but Dan Houser, a former head at Rockstar, has confidently stated that the game will be excellent.

Older job postings hint that a companion app might be connected to the game.
