Four months after singer Kelsea Ballerini announced her split from actor Chase Stokes, she asked fans to respect her privacy and understand that she won’t be sharing all the details about what led to their breakup.

Kelsea shared a beach photo on Instagram on December 1st, explaining that she’s currently trying to keep her personal life private. She asked for people to respect that boundary.

The 32-year-old briefly mentioned the gossip about her split from Chase, stating, “If you don’t hear it directly from me, don’t believe it. Protecting my well-being is my priority right now.”

Kelsea has repeatedly responded to rumors about her personal life online, recently explaining to her fans that her songs aren’t intended to fuel gossip or sensational headlines.

During a surprise concert in Nashville on November 17th, she explained to the audience, according to People magazine, that she writes songs to connect with people, not to spark debate online.

The singer expressed gratitude to her fans for accepting all sides of her, even the more difficult ones. She explained that she feels incredibly fortunate to be able to channel her intense emotions into music, saying she needs to do so or she’d be overwhelmed.

Chase, like Kelsea, has asked fans to avoid making assumptions about their relationship. This comes after they were seen dancing together in Croatia in early November, which led to rumors they were getting back together.

On November 20th, he posted to his Instagram Story, telling people not to trust the media and claiming he was unfairly blocked and hadn’t done anything wrong.

She shared on Instagram on December 1st that she’s feeling content and optimistic. She’s particularly looking forward to her upcoming tour in Australia and the holiday season.

They finally met in person on January 7, 2023, a date she now celebrates as their anniversary.

Kelsea shared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in November 2023 that he silently jumped out of his Bronco, then immediately grabbed her face, kissed her, and pulled back to say, ‘Thank God you’re real.’

Their romance blossomed after that first DM, which Kelsea shared in September 2023.

In August 2023, Kelsea shared a nostalgic TikTok video revealing how her relationship began. The clip showed her getting ready for her first date with her partner on January 7, 2023.

She shared a video with the caption, “Happy weekend! This is a video I sent to my best friend before my first date with Chase.”

Kelsea Ballerini showcased her outfit in a video set to her song “How Do I Do This,” which details the experience of going on a first date after a long time.

“Here’s the look, with the boots” Kelsea said while checking herself out in a full-length mirror.

She turned to show off her hairstyle – half up, half down – and explained, “I’m using this hair clip to try and look trendy.”

She kept talking to a friend, telling them that her date was picking her up and they were going to get sushi. She promised to call them tomorrow with all the details.

She took a deep breath, raised a finger, and finally said with determination, “I can do this. I can do this.”

After a little playful movement, she explained that a date is simply a chance to have a meal and chat about your life. “It’s not a big deal,” she said.

The couple publicly confirmed their relationship by attending the CMT Music Awards in Texas together.

A few days later, the pair went to the opening night party for the Broadway show Shucked at Capitale in New York City.

Chase joined Kelsea on a trip to her hometown of Knoxville, Tenn.

The two attended Armani Beauty’s ACQUA DI GIO and Gen A celebration in Malibu, Calif.

Kelsea was surprised and delighted when Chase showed up to greet her at the airport. Both of them shared sweet videos and photos of their reunion online.

The couple only had eyes for one another at a Venice Film Festival event.

While in NYC to perform on TODAY, the singer scheduled in a date night with her No. 1 fan.

To celebrate Kelsea’s 30th birthday on September 12, 2023, Chase shared a collection of photos and videos of the three-time Grammy nominee.
