As the year comes to a close, many of the films that were recently in theaters – like Caught Stealing and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning – are now available to stream. This gives movie fans a chance to watch them from the comfort of their homes. Next week, Paramount+ will add another 2023 film that many people missed in theaters, and it’s well worth checking out.
Paramount revealed on Wednesday that the show Roofman will soon be available to stream. Roofman is a crime dramedy directed by Derek Cianfrance, who also directed The Place Beyond the Pines. It’s based on the true story of a robber who famously hid in a toy store after breaking out of prison.
Released in theaters last October, Roofman earned about $33 million at the box office against a budget of $18 million. While not a blockbuster, the film has been well-received by both critics and audiences, currently holding an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Roofman is a refreshing change of pace – a mid-budget film geared towards adults, a type of movie that’s become increasingly rare.
Channing Tatum plays Jeffery Manchester, a former serviceman who unexpectedly ends up living in the ceiling of a Toys “R” Us, in the new film Roofman. The movie also features a talented cast including Kirsten Dunst, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, and Peter Dinklage.
