Love Is Blind’s Brennon Lemieux Gives Reason for Alexa Lemieux Divorce

Brennon Lemieux and Alexa Lemieux were not blind to each other’s flaws.

The stars of Love Is Blind, who married during the show’s third season in 2021, announced they are separating after four years of marriage on December 3rd.

Alexa, who has a 16-month-old daughter named Vienna with Brennon, announced the split on Instagram. She said the decision was carefully considered and made with respect and gratitude for their time together.

Brennon hasn’t commented publicly on social media, but he explained why they’re divorcing in his divorce filing last month.

I was so sad to read that after 35, they’ve decided to end their marriage. The court papers, which Us Weekly reported on December 3rd, said things just became impossible between them – they really clashed as people and didn’t see any way to fix things or get back together. It sounds like a really difficult decision, but they felt it was the right thing to do.

He also requested the court award him any assets he had prior to their marriage.

For Alexa, she asked the public for privacy as they navigate their breakup.

On December 3rd, Alexa announced on Instagram that she and her husband have decided to divorce. She explained that while they began their relationship with love and hope, they’re ending it with thankfulness for the good times and personal growth they both experienced.

She stated that their priority remains their daughter. Although they are getting divorced, they will continue to support each other and are dedicated to raising their daughter with kindness and understanding throughout this change.

Alexa has been spending a lot of quality time with her daughter, Vienna, recently. The day before announcing her separation, she shared November photos, including a family picture with Brennon and Vienna meeting Santa. But many of the photos focused on special moments just with her daughter – cuddling, celebrating Halloween, wearing matching Christmas hats, and a trip to the Dallas Farmers Market.

Alexa and her mother recently enjoyed a trip to O’ahu, Hawaii, with the rest of their family. While they had a wonderful time, her partner, Brennon, wasn’t present in any of the pictures from the vacation.

Alexa shared on Instagram on November 20th that a recent trip was truly memorable. She expressed gratitude for Vienna’s amazing grandmother, who always goes the extra mile, and how heartwarming it was to witness the family’s love for her baby. She’s already looking forward to their next girls’ getaway.

Sadly, Alexa and Brennon aren’t the only couple from Love Is Blind to break up after getting engaged. Here’s an update on what happened with other couples from the show.

Ultimately, Anton’s lifestyle and money problems weren’t a good fit for what Ali wanted in a partner.

She told the truck driver, right at the altar, that she couldn’t marry him. She explained that the man she’d connected with while they were only talking wasn’t the same person she’d gotten to know after meeting in person.

So, she listened to her intuition.

She explained to the cameras that the experience didn’t meet her expectations and didn’t feel genuine. She also felt he hadn’t been completely honest about his life.

Anton said he wasn’t sure what went wrong – whether it was a matter of appearances, a feeling between them, or simply how they lived their lives. But he insisted he always cared for her deeply.

Despite finding common ground through shared experiences with family members who have Type 1 diabetes, Megan and her fiancé ultimately couldn’t overcome their contrasting lifestyles – he valued simplicity, while she enjoyed luxury. This difference led Megan to end their engagement, as revealed in the season nine finale.

“It’s like we’re just passing ships – completely different people,” the entrepreneur explained. But Jordan didn’t understand the comparison, saying, “I don’t get it.”

After Megan mentioned Jordan’s difficult eating habits and how hard it was to plan trips with him, he responded by questioning why she had chosen him in the first place when they were getting to know each other.

You know, I used to think opposites really did attract, but honestly, I just had a nagging feeling it wasn’t right for us. Looking back, I’m so glad I realized that before we made a lifelong commitment. I couldn’t have gone through with the wedding knowing we weren’t truly compatible – it wouldn’t have been fair to either of us. It was a really emotional realization, and we both ended up in tears, but ultimately, it was the right decision.

Jordan admitted his biggest regret was letting his son, Luca, meet her. He explained in a private interview that he believes she doesn’t love him for who he is, and realizing that is what he needs to move on.

Megan shared that the experience made her doubt her abilities as a mother, wondering if she was too focused on her own needs.

At their wedding, both Kalybriah and Edmond declared their strong love for each other, but Kalybriah ultimately rejected Edmond’s proposal, offering her apologies.

She told the realtor she needed someone fully committed, and admitted she wasn’t in that place herself right now. However, she quickly added that saying ‘no’ didn’t mean she didn’t care for him.

Edmond was upset and started crying, but Kalybriah thanked him for handling the situation with dignity as she explained her difficult choice. When he asked if they might date sometime in the future, Kalybriah reassured him that she wasn’t ruling it out.

“I am shocked,” he said in a confessional of her decision. “There was no bright side.”

Joe and his partner didn’t get married on season nine because Joe ended things after an emotional breakdown while trying on his tuxedo.

Madison later shared with Glamour that Joe had a distinct contrast between his on- and off-camera personality. He was much more comforting and affectionate when the cameras weren’t rolling, and they shared a close, physical connection. This differed sharply from how he behaved while filming, which is noticeable in scenes like the pool party.

Madison directly asked Joe if he was attracted to her, and he admitted it had been a problem while they were on vacation.

She explained that she asked him what kind of women he usually dated, and he said he preferred ‘more petite women.’ She admitted that, despite being confident in herself, his answer briefly made her feel insecure.

Look, I’ve been following this whole thing, and I really think people misunderstood Joe. He was trying to explain something about his own past relationships – a pattern he’s noticed, honestly – and he totally messed up how he said it. He wasn’t trying to judge anyone else, just share what he’s learned, even if it came out wrong.

Nick broke up with Annie right before their wedding, telling her he felt upset that she always claimed to love him more than he loved her.

Despite being told it was finished, the hairstylist didn’t accept it and pleaded with Nick to stay with her, saying, “Just stay with me and love me.”

“You can’t make one plus one equal three,” he said, prompting her to say, “Watch me.”

Nick finally explained to Annie that he wasn’t going to marry her because he was unhappy.

Dave and Lauren’s relationship didn’t work out after arriving in Honduras. While they discovered they had friends in common, the real issue was Dave finding out Lauren had previously been with someone they both knew, which made him reluctant to continue the relationship.

Plus, Dave hadn’t wanted to introduce Lauren to his friends or family. He hadn’t even told his dad about their engagement, and his sister, who would later cause a lot of problems, didn’t approve of the relationship at all.

Many viewers thought Monica and Joey were a perfect match and would get married. But when it came time for their wedding, Monica unexpectedly called it off.

Honestly, talking to her was incredibly raw. She was completely present in that moment, giving it her all, but admitted we both still had some growing to do. And you know what? Joey completely felt the same way. It was a really honest and vulnerable conversation for both of us.

He hugged her and reassured her, saying it was alright. He felt they clearly cared for each other deeply, but believed they both needed to focus on personal growth. He admitted he wasn’t ready for a relationship right now and wasn’t fully sure if he ever would be.

I was so surprised when Ben and Sara actually got married! They were so different – they didn’t see eye-to-eye on things like religion or politics. For a while there, it seemed like they’d somehow figured things out, but sadly, they eventually realized they weren’t meant to be together and decided to call it quits. It was a real shame.

Sara, who previously told me she doesn’t see a future with Ben, explained to him, “Ben, I care about you deeply, but I’ve always envisioned a partner who shares my outlook on life. Because of that, I can’t continue this relationship. I’m truly sorry if this isn’t what you wanted to hear.”

She explained that while she deeply cares for him, their core beliefs are too different for her to continue the relationship. She said her heart feels a connection, but ultimately, she needs to follow what her mind tells her.

Devin and Virginia appeared to be a happy couple, looking forward to their future together after leaving the pods. However, their relationship hit a snag when they started discussing a prenuptial agreement.

Ultimately, more significant problems led Virginia to end her relationship with Devin and decide against spending her life with him.

After leaving the altar, she explained, through tears, that she often felt the need to shield Devin throughout their relationship. She wasn’t sure if it was due to her upbringing, but protecting him was always a priority. This meant avoiding certain sensitive subjects, like politics, and respecting his boundaries, even if it meant they didn’t fully explore all aspects of their connection. Ultimately, they didn’t reach a deeper level of understanding in those areas.

In the end, Daniel and Taylor were the happy couple who decided to commit to a lifetime of love, promising to stay together long after the holidays were over.

Despite a rocky start – Taylor thought Daniel had been checking her Instagram and knew what she looked like – they were able to move past the issue.

After sharing heartfelt vows, the couple had a lovely wedding and a joyful reception.

“We did it!” Daniel exclaimed, sitting with Taylor after their wedding. Taylor added, “We can’t wait to start our lives together.”

The art dealer, now well-known in his field, proposed to the author of Keeping Well after a complicated relationship involving Hannah Jiles. However, they soon realized they were better suited as friends and ended their brief engagement.

Brittany and Leo realized they didn’t have a romantic connection, as Brittany explained to People magazine. They discussed the possibility of making things work at the start of their time together, but as they got to know each other, it became clear there wasn’t a spark. They both felt this way and were able to talk about it openly and respectfully, making the realization and subsequent decision relatively easy.

Shortly after appearing on a Netflix dating show, Brittany began dating musician Mod Sun in November 2024. However, she announced their breakup in July 2025.

Monica and Stephen split up after she discovered inappropriate text messages between her fiancé and another woman while they were still on vacation in Mexico. Stephen initially apologized on camera, but later posted a message on social media after the episode aired.

In an October 2024 post on Instagram Stories, he expressed regret if his presence bothered anyone, apologizing to those who felt negatively affected and wishing they hadn’t had to start their day. He added that he still cared for them regardless.

After leaving the pods, Hannah and Nick definitely experienced their share of challenges and arguments. Hannah famously stated, “I think you’re treated as an equal when you start contributing like one.”

Everything fell apart when Hannah realized she didn’t want to marry him. Nick described the split as incredibly painful, saying it was one of the hardest experiences of his life.

Since then, Hannah has admitted the show forced her to do some self-introspection.

Okay, so I was listening to her on The Viall Files and she was SO self-aware, it was amazing! She admitted she’s always been super direct, which, honestly, I love about her, but she realizes how she says things can be a little… harsh. She totally gets that it’s not just what you say, it’s how you say it, and that makes all the difference. It was just so cool to hear her acknowledge that, and I think she’s really working on it!

Taylor and Garrett immediately connected, and it felt like they were meant to be together—even down to having matching tattoos! They did have one difficult moment when Taylor discovered Garrett had responded to a message from a former partner, but he quickly reassured her and ended the conversation. After that, their relationship blossomed, becoming a memorable love story from the show Love Is Blind.

The pair were still married at the Love Is Blind reunion in October 2024.

You’re not mistaken! Marissa and Ramses were initially considered strong contenders to succeed on the show, but Ramses ultimately decided to cancel their wedding because he had doubts.

After a heartfelt conversation, Marissa excitedly told her fiancé, “I see a wonderful future with you, and I want to marry you.” He replied, simply, “I know falling in love always carries a risk, and I accept that.”

He pointed out that their disagreements – including differing views on the military – might be too significant to overcome. He explained that, based on his own marriage and what he’s learned from others, love isn’t always enough for a marriage to succeed. Other important factors need to be in place as well.

Marissa tried to stay strong, but once she realized the relationship was truly over, she started crying. She told him, “I wish you hadn’t come here,” expressing her confusion and hurt. “I was so certain about us, and you weren’t? It’s awful—I really wanted you to pick me.” She admitted that this was the worst day of her life.

Tyler and Ashley were popular with viewers as their relationship seemed to blossom smoothly. However, things became complicated when Tyler revealed he had three children, a revelation Ashley referred to unkindly. There’s been online debate about Tyler’s role as a father, but he hasn’t spoken publicly about it.

I was so thrilled to see Ashley and Tyler finally work things out! By the time of the October 2024 reunion, they’d not only patched things up, but they actually got married! It was amazing to watch their journey, and I couldn’t be happier for them.

“These past two months have been life-changing,” Tyler shared, sitting with Ashley after their wedding. “And now, we get to spend forever together.”

However, Ashley later shared that the pair had called it quits following over one year of marriage.

In a statement released in January 2025, she announced that she and Tyler have separated and are divorcing. She explained that after careful consideration, they realized they were growing apart and couldn’t continue their marriage, despite hoping they could resolve their differences.

Alex and Tim appeared to resolve their big disagreement during their trip to Mexico, and their relationship seemed stronger when they returned to Washington, D.C. Things got even better when Tim had a heartfelt conversation with Alex’s father, suggesting a solid future for them both.

After Alex met Tim’s family, they had another fight, and Tim broke off their engagement, telling Alex he never wanted to see her again. Since then, both Alex and Tim have publicly shared their sides of the story, with Alex clarifying that the breakup wasn’t a joint decision.

Chelsea and Jimmy had a few arguments during the season, but it seemed they resolved their differences on a fun date at an amusement park just before their wedding.

Jimmy ended his engagement with Chelsea, leaving her shocked and in tears, as he was ready to move on from their turbulent relationship.

Okay, so I was hearing from a client recently – let’s call him Jimmy – and he was really laying it all out there on a date. He was super into this woman, Chelsea, telling her how strongly he felt about her and that he really wanted a relationship to blossom. But here’s the tricky part: he admitted he just couldn’t see himself getting married, ever. He was being incredibly honest, saying he didn’t want to lead her on and that commitment just wasn’t in the cards for him. It’s a tough situation, wanting a connection but drawing a firm line at marriage – honesty is good, but it definitely opens up a potentially complicated conversation!

He said they were simplifying a complex situation, which had actually involved five or six major problems that deeply upset him. One of these issues was Chelsea revealing Jimmy’s secret about a past relationship with a friend.

After a final, emotional argument about their past relationships, Chelsea broke down in tears and left, saying, “I really thought we had a chance.”

The pair were both single during the March 2024 reunion.

Clay was reluctant to get married because of his complicated feelings about his father’s past, but AD comforted him, promising they could overcome anything together. Things seemed good between them at the time.

However, when it came time to say “I do” at their wedding, Clay unexpectedly said “I don’t.” He explained to AD that getting married when he wasn’t prepared wouldn’t be a responsible decision.

Cue the shock.

He told AD he would do the necessary work to figure things out, and they would face it together. He admitted he wasn’t ready for marriage and wanted AD to have everything she deserved. He explained that he wouldn’t commit until he could give her his all, and he couldn’t say yes to her proposal right now.

The discovery deeply upset AD, and she tearfully stated the relationship had been a complete waste of her time.

Clay explained that both financial and emotional connections contributed to his decision to leave. He confessed, “I had to ask myself if I was still a husband, and the answer was no. I also realized I wasn’t in love anymore.”

At the reunion, Clay admitted he regretted not dating AD and wished he could now, but AD didn’t reveal whether she’d be open to trying again.

AD admitted she went on a few dates with her colleague, Matthew Duliba, after they finished filming, but they are no longer dating.

She announced in May 2025 she’s expecting her first baby with fiancé Ollie Sutherland.

Oh my gosh, Amy and Johnny were EVERYTHING in season six! Seriously, they were the only couple who actually made it down the aisle, and their wedding was just… perfect. But it wasn’t just the ceremony, it was how effortlessly their families blended together. I actually teared up when Amy’s dad told Johnny’s sister he felt like he’d gained another daughter! It was just so sweet and real, they’re my absolute favorite!

As for Johnny, he too declared at his reception that his father-in-law was his “new dad.”

They are still married.

Ugh, it was so frustrating! Brittany and Kenneth had this amazing connection on the show, I was totally rooting for them! But then they went back to normal life, and it just…died. Like, all that spark just vanished. It’s heartbreaking, honestly. I really thought they were ‘the one’ for each other, but it just fizzled out. So disappointing!

Brittany explained to Life & Style that things changed once she and her partner returned to Charlotte. While they had a very strong and passionate connection inside the pods, that feeling lessened when they went back to their everyday lives.

Brittany and her former fiancé have stayed friends. At a recent meeting, she explained that even though their romantic relationship ended, they still share a strong and lasting connection.

Laura and Jeramey broke up after Laura discovered Jeramey had spent time with a fellow castmate, Sarah Ann Bick, while they were out one night. Following a heated argument, Laura ended the relationship.

But instead of that, he went off to ride jet skis with Sarah Ann.

At the reunion in March 2024, Jeramey shared that he and Sarah Ann had been dating on and off for the past year, starting after they finished filming the show, but they are no longer together.

Laura is dating someone else, who she did not identify at the reunion.

Despite overcoming challenges like Izzy’s initial connection with Johnie Maraist and Stacy’s preferences for a certain lifestyle – she didn’t want to use paper plates! – Stacy ultimately decided not to marry Izzy because he wasn’t truthful about his financial history.

Even though the wedding didn’t happen, Stacy still wanted to stay with Izzy, who was understandably heartbroken.

“We’re at different spots,” he told her. “It really breaks my heart.”

Stacy appreciated Izzy helping her become more open with her feelings, but she wasn’t completely sure about their long-term future. She explained that she needed to be absolutely certain before committing to a lifetime together.

Izzy is now dating surgical assistant Shelby Webb.

The only bright spot of season five dimmed when Lydia revealed in a June 2025 interview on the podcast What’s the Reality, hosted by fellow cast member AD Smith, that she and Milton were divorcing after less than three years of marriage.

She explained it wasn’t a single event, but rather a build-up of issues. When she informed him she’d let him know when the divorce papers were finalized, he said he wouldn’t sign them without a non-disclosure agreement.

She explained that she decided to go public with the news because she’d been holding it in for too long. She felt it was important to share what she’d been going through, as staying silent had become overwhelming.

Lydia claims that while they were married, other women accused her husband, Milton, 26, of flirting excessively and buying them drinks at bars. He denied these accusations, but instead of addressing them, he questioned why Lydia would even consider the rumors to be true.

Throughout the season, Paul and Micah seemed drawn to each other despite their differences. However, at the wedding, Paul revealed he wasn’t ready for marriage after Micah asked him to go first, ultimately declining to marry her.

“I feel terrible,” Micah admitted. “If Paul had proposed, I would have definitely said yes.”

At the reunion, Paul apologized for a hurtful comment he’d made privately about Micah not being suited to be a mother.

Paul admitted he hadn’t been fair to her when he spoke earlier. He clarified that his real concern is he doesn’t envision them having children together.

You know, after wrapping up the show, Paul and Micah did try to reconnect, but sadly, it just wasn’t meant to be. I learned from Paul that things officially ended when he went to visit Micah in Arizona – it was a tough conversation, and they realized they were better off going their separate ways.

On the show After the Altar, Paul shared that he was seeing someone new—a woman who loved to travel and appreciated his cooking. He later publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram with Geneva Dunham, who works as an eyelash technician.

Even though Kwame’s mother didn’t come to the wedding and he had some questionable conversations with Micah, who he met while filming, Kwame and Chelsea were still one of the three couples who got married at the end of the fourth season.

At the reunion, Chelsea shared that she’s now met her husband’s mother. Kwame also apologized to his wife and her family for his past actions, explaining that his conversations with Micah hadn’t been ideal.

The couple is living in Seattle with their beloved dog Rocky.

Everyone says love is blind, but sometimes it takes a while – or even getting engaged to someone else – to realize you’ve made a mistake. That’s what happened to Zack, who proposed to Irina Solomonova, but they broke up while on vacation in Mexico.

Despite initial challenges and objections from Bliss’ father, the couple reconciled and happily got married. They even shared a special first dance as husband and wife to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” – the song that first brought them together during their time in the pods.

Following the final episode, Zack posted a picture of him and his partner on Instagram, writing “Eternal Bliss” in the caption.

The couple announced in November 2023 that they were having a baby, and welcomed their daughter, Galileo Terri Rayne Goytowski, in April 2024.

It feels like we haven’t seen a Love Is Blind couple with such instant chemistry since Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed in season one!

Tiffany, 36, and Brett, 37, were the oldest couple in the experiment and still managed to get married, despite a last-minute wardrobe mishap when Brett’s pants didn’t fit! A special thanks to the amazing seamstress, Lucia, who saved the day.

Since filming wrapped, Tiffany and Brett moved to Portland and are still perfect! Phew!

After SK said “I don’t” at their wedding, he and Raven seemingly parted ways.

Once the show stopped filming, the ex-couple got back together and announced they were dating again at the season three reunion.

A month later, the couple announced their split following rumors of infidelity. In a joint social media statement released in November, SK and Raven explained they couldn’t share further details due to ongoing legal issues related to the allegations, and asked for privacy during this difficult time. They thanked their followers for supporting their relationship.

Viewers were upset when Jackie decided to reconnect with Josh Demas, the man she had a connection with in the pods, before officially breaking up with Marshall.

During the reunion, Jackie clarified what happened with her relationships. She explained, “I ended things with Marshall before I met Josh at the coffee shop. It might look like I was unfaithful, but I wasn’t.”

Jackie spoke about her breakup with Marshall, taking responsibility for her part in what happened. She explained that they simply weren’t a good match for each other.

Jackie and Josh were still a couple and sharing a home during the “After the Altar” series. However, Jackie revealed in a September 2023 Instagram Live that they had since split up.

Marshall shared with TopMob that he and fellow contestant Kacia Clark connected briefly after the show ended. However, he decided to create some space for himself after the experience, so things didn’t progress further.

On the show After the Altar, Marshall shared that he’s been dating Dr. Chay Barnes for a year and hopes to marry her. The couple got engaged in December 2023.
