Heaven has gained a new angel.
Criscilla Anderson, known from the Netflix reality show Country Ever After and formerly a hip-hop dancer, has passed away at age 45 after fighting colon cancer. She starred on the show with her ex-husband, country singer Coffey Anderson.
Criscilla announced on Instagram, through a post by her friend Lindsey Villatoro, that she had peacefully passed away. Her message asked people not to dwell on the sadness of her loss, sharing that she had lived a full life, fighting hard and loving deeply.
She added, “I am not gone… I’m Home.”
Criscilla, a former choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, spoke to all four children – Ethan, 14, Emmarie, 12, Everleigh, 9, and Coffey’s daughter from a previous relationship, Savannah, 17 – calling them “my whole heart.”
Being a mom to Ethan is one of the greatest joys of my life, and I’ll always be his biggest supporter. And Savannah… she’s like the daughter I didn’t know I was missing – a true blessing. To Emmarie, my sweet girl who loves Jesus so much, never stop dancing – through everything life throws your way! And Everleigh, my little ray of sunshine, please always chase your dreams with courage and never let fear hold you back.
Criscilla said, “My children… I’m always with you. When you feel a comforting warmth, a sense of familiarity, or experience something wonderfully unexpected—that’s me looking out for you. I’m still your mother, and I always will be.”
Criscilla was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018. After treatment, doctors said she was in remission in 2021, meaning the cancer was under control. Unfortunately, the cancer came back in late 2022. She had previously told People magazine that she knew there was a high chance of it returning.

Last month, Criscilla’s friend Lindsey shared that Criscilla’s colon cancer had spread to her brain, something doctors found after she had a stroke. Lindsey said Criscilla was planning to start radiation treatment, and possibly chemotherapy, and was looking into clinical trials focused on colon cancer research.
After her passing, Coffey—who married Criscilla in 2009 and filed for divorce in 2022—shared a heartfelt tribute to her on social media.

He shared on Instagram that Criscilla was uniquely strong and a true fighter. He also wrote that she had passed away, describing her as a new star in heaven.
Coffey shared, “We already feel your absence deeply. We’re heartbroken and struggling to process this loss. Life feels completely different now, and the house is noticeably quieter without you.”
Reflecting on how they raise their children together, the singer said their kids are doing really well, adding, “They’re strong and we’ve done a good job parenting them.”
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, having recently had Criscilla as a tryout judge in 2024, also expressed their sympathy.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders posted on Instagram on December 3rd, remembering their friend, Criscilla Crossland. They shared that her creativity, dedication, and resilience motivated everyone in the organization, and that her kindness and talent will be deeply missed.

Lauren Anderson, the former choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and a star on the 2020 Netflix show Country Ever After with her ex-husband, Coffey Anderson, has passed away at the age of 45. She had been fighting colon cancer for seven years.
I still can’t believe it… she posted on Instagram in December 2025, and Lindsey Villatoro shared it for her. It said, ‘If you’re reading this, I’ve finally gone to be with Jesus—it was peaceful, and I was surrounded by so much love.’ Just reading those words breaks my heart, but she didn’t want us to stay sad! She said she fought so hard, and that she loved everyone deeply. It’s like she was telling us to remember the love, even in this awful moment. I’ll never forget it.
I was so touched when Criscilla spoke directly to the kids – Ethan, Emmarie, and Everleigh, plus Coffey’s daughter Savannah from a previous relationship. She called them all ‘my whole heart,’ and it was just so sweet to see how much she loves them all.
To Ethan, she said, “You made me a mom, and I’ll always be your biggest supporter.” She then turned to Savannah, calling her a wonderful surprise and a true blessing. To Emmarie, her sweet and faith-filled dancer, she encouraged her to keep pursuing her passion through all of life’s stages. And to Everleigh, her energetic and shining light, she urged her to fearlessly chase after her dreams.
Criscilla said, “My children… I’m always with you. Whenever you feel a sense of warmth, comfort, or something wonderfully unexpected—that’s me, still watching over you and loving you as your mother.”

Tanner Martin, a social media influencer who bravely shared his five-year fight with colon cancer—including his life with wife Shay and daughter AmyLou—has passed away, as he announced himself.
In a video shared on Instagram in June 2025, Tanner announced, “If you’re seeing this, it means I’ve passed away.”
Tanner, who was 30 years old when he died, decided to create a video announcing his passing. He’d seen someone else do something similar and thought it would be a good way to share his final thoughts and highlight his wife and daughter, whom he lovingly called “Jiaozi.”
In his video, he shared, “I’ve had a wonderful life.” He expressed his sincere gratitude for all the support and love he received from everyone, both for himself and his family. He then asked for continued prayers for his wife, Shay, and their daughter, Jiaozi.
The influencer thanked his followers, and his last wish was for them to keep his family in their thoughts and prayers.
“It was a good life,” Tanner said with a smile. “I’m grateful for the time I had, and I hope there’s something more beyond this. Maybe we’re all together now. I’m especially looking forward to seeing loved ones who have passed, and I hope they’re finally at peace and happy.”

In October 2024, Bella Bradford, a popular TikTok creator, passed away at the age of 24 after fighting a rare cancer in her jaw.
In a heartfelt video, Bella shared that she had sadly passed away after a battle with terminal cancer. She wanted to create one last ‘Get Ready With Me’ video, something she truly enjoyed, because of her passion for fashion. She thanked her followers for joining her on this journey and hoped they would continue to watch her videos and find moments of happiness whenever they needed a lift.
And despite the heartbreaking circumstances, Bella left followers with a hopeful note.
“Remember that you live every day and you only die once,” she explained, “so everything helps.”

In October 2024, an Australian television presenter revealed she had passed away in an Instagram post. She had been living with motor neuron disease—a condition like ALS that affects the nerves—for three years.
Fiona shared a message on Instagram, along with pictures of herself and her sons, Harry and Rafe, saying goodbye. She explained that her sister, Kylie, was posting for her because she was leaving, and hoped to be watching over them from above.
And the 67-year-old did not hide the debilitating effect her disease had on the end of her life.
It feels like a huge weight has finally lifted after a really difficult few months. I never wanted to end my life, but honestly, the idea of escaping the constant pain in my body was a comfort. It was a strange feeling, wanting relief more than wanting to live, and I’m so glad that chapter is closed.
She finished by saying she didn’t want to say goodbye, hoping to meet them again someday. She promised to always remember their love and happiness, and asked that they remember hers as well.

Kimberley Nix, a Canadian influencer, passed away in May 2024 after publicly sharing her three-year fight against metastatic sarcoma.
Oh my god, you guys, I just saw Kimberley’s TikTok… I can’t even breathe. She… she posted a video saying she’s gone. Like, she said she passed away peacefully. I keep replaying it, hoping it’s a prank, but… her voice, her eyes… it felt so final. I’m absolutely devastated. I just… I can’t believe it’s real. It’s Kimberley! She was everything to me and so many others. I’m completely heartbroken.
The 31-year-old influencer, a doctor who trained in internal medicine, described her happy life and listed some of her favorite things, like her pets, makeup, and her husband, Michael MacIsaac.
Kimberley, who shared information about her health with her followers after being diagnosed in 2021, also thanked her online community for their support.
She expressed her gratitude, saying, “I love you all, and I’m so thankful for this incredible opportunity.” Overcome with emotion, she added that this experience had given her life new meaning and brought her to tears.

In February 2024, Daniella Thackray announced her passing on Facebook. She had been battling cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and fast-moving cancer that affects the bile ducts in the liver.
Danielle, from Leeds in the UK, shared this message to let everyone know she had passed away after fighting cancer. Her family posted it for her. She explained that while we can’t always control what happens to us, we can control how we respond. Even though she was heartbroken, she chose to focus on enjoying her remaining time instead of dwelling on her illness.
The 24-year-old acknowledged the need for more research into her cancer, which currently has no known cause or cure. However, she stressed that she had lived a full and meaningful life despite her illness.
In her goodbye message, Daniella encouraged everyone to find joy in everyday moments and truly appreciate life. She urged people to pursue what makes them happy and to never let anyone steal their happiness. She signed off with a kiss, reminding everyone to ‘romanticise your life!’
Daniella’s last message was to her fiancé, Tom Calvert. She wrote, “I love you, and I always will. Please go live your life and be happy – you deserve it.”

Paul Harrell, a popular YouTube reviewer of firearms with over a million subscribers, passed away from pancreatic cancer in September 2024. He posthumously shared a video titled “I’m Dead” on his channel.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m still reeling! Paul posted this video – he said he filmed it way back in December 2023 – and it’s just… haunting. He literally said, looking right at the camera, ‘If you’re watching me, I’m dead.’ I can’t even process it. It’s like he knew something was going to happen. I’ve watched it like a million times, trying to find a clue, anything! It’s just… devastating.
In a recent video, Paul shared that despite an early diagnosis, his cancer quickly spread to his bones. He explained that this made it clear he doesn’t have much time left.
Paul expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported his work by watching, liking, commenting, sharing, subscribing, or donating through Patreon, simply saying, “Thank you.”
As he put it, “I can’t even begin to articulate how beneficial and appreciated those things are.”
The 58-year-old also expressed his apologies to his fans for suddenly leaving the public eye.
It truly broke my heart to hear him say he’d hoped to keep going for another ten or fifteen years. Knowing his diagnosis took him so quickly made it even more devastating. He even apologized for stopping, saying he felt like he’d let us all down, which just wasn’t true. He gave us everything he had.
