Billy Ray Cyrus Reacts to Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando’s Engagement

Billy Ray Cyrus publicly congratulated his daughter, Miley Cyrus, on her engagement to Maxx Morando, and also took a moment to acknowledge someone else special to the family.

Billy Ray Cyrus shared a sweet message about his daughter Miley and her godmother, Dolly Parton, on Instagram. He posted a picture of the three of them and wrote, “It’s no surprise you’re so amazing! You have the best godmother in the world!” He also expressed his happiness that Miley and MaxxAgazillion had connected.

“Congratulations! Happy to see you both so happy!!! Love Dad.”

Billy recently shared a touching message with his daughter after they worked through a difficult time in their relationship. Showing their strong bond, Miley recently dedicated a song called “Secrets” to her father.

“Music lasts longer than any of us,” said the 33-year-old at the Hollywood premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 1, according to Will Marfuggi of TopMob News. “It’s special to create a song for someone you care about because it becomes part of their lasting impact.”

Miley and Maxx started dating in 2021, and rumors quickly spread that they were engaged after she was seen wearing a ring on her ring finger. Miley later confirmed the news, explaining that Maxx proposed to her while they were traveling in Japan.

Miley recently shared in an interview with Good Morning America that she doesn’t get surprised easily, as she likes to be in control of things. She explained that in this particular instance, she’d let go of control, making the surprise even more significant. She emphasized just how shocked she was.

Miley showed off her engagement ring—a simple gold band with a diamond—and said, “He did a great job!”

Miley said she was just as surprised that she and her fiancé managed to keep their engagement a secret.

She shared with People magazine on December 2nd that she’s surprised she’s been able to maintain her privacy, especially considering her public life. She attributes this to both keeping a relatively low profile and being older and more careful about what she chooses to share publicly.
