
Sony Interactive Entertainment is teaming up with Bad Robot Games, the gaming division of JJ Abrams’ production company, to create a new four-player cooperative shooter game. This will be Bad Robot Games’ first game developed in-house, and it’s being directed by Mike Booth, the creator of Left 4 Dead. The game is planned for release on PlayStation 5 and PC.
Bad Robot Games is collaborating with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop a brand new game universe. According to CEO Anna Sweet, this partnership will allow them to fully realize their vision for this new intellectual property. They aim to create a unique and exciting experience for players, supported by PlayStation. Mike Booth is leading the creative development of what they describe as a cooperative adventure designed to create memorable moments for players and their friends.
Christian Svensson, a VP at Sony Interactive Entertainment, praised the team at Bad Robot Games and expressed excitement about their partnership on an upcoming game. He noted that Bad Robot’s creative vision and dedication to innovation fit perfectly with Sony’s goal of creating impactful gaming experiences, and said they are eager for players to experience the world Bad Robot Games has created.
