Invincible VS Release Date, New Character Teased for The Game Awards

Fans will find out the release date for Invincible VS and see a new character reveal next week. Skybound Games has been sharing details about the 3v3 fighting game, set in the Invincible universe, since it was announced earlier this year. Recently, a closed alpha test allowed fans to try the game for the first time. Now, after gathering feedback from the test, Skybound Games is preparing to share more significant updates about Invincible VS very soon.

The team behind Invincible VS recently announced on social media that they’ll be at The Game Awards on December 11th. They’ll finally reveal the game’s release date at the event – something fans have been eagerly waiting for! Plus, they’re planning to showcase a new playable character, bringing the confirmed roster to twelve. Expect more character reveals before the game officially launches.

We’re excited to announce we’ll be at The Game Awards! We’ll be revealing a brand new character from the Invincible universe, created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker. We might even share a release date… Sorry, Geoff Keighley, for the surprise!

As a big fan of Invincible VS, I’m really excited about the latest character reveal! What’s cool is that this fighter is completely new to the Invincible universe – we haven’t seen them in the comics or the animated series before. The developers had hinted at all-new characters for the game, and now we’re finally getting to meet one! I know some longtime fans can be wary of new additions, but Skybound Games has assured us that Invincible co-creators Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker designed these characters themselves. So, we can be confident that these new heroes (or villains!) feel like they truly belong in the Invincible world.

The video game Invincible VS is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2026. We’ll share more information about the game, following its reveal at The Game Awards, right here on ComicBook.
