After Quentin Tarantino criticized Paul Dano’s acting, many in Hollywood are now supporting him. Matt Reeves, the director of The Batman, has also spoken out to defend Dano’s talent.
Keanu Reeves is the latest celebrity to criticize Quentin Tarantino’s recent negative remarks about an actor. Tarantino responded on X, praising Paul Dano, stating, “Paul Dano is an incredible actor, and an incredible person.”
Soon after he posted, many of his followers agreed with him in the comments. They especially praised Paul Dano’s performance as the Riddler in the 2022 movie The Batman. Several people also noted Dano’s versatility as an actor, pointing out how different his roles are – like his quiet, understated performance as a computer engineer and father in The Fabelmans – compared to the comic book villain.
Mattson Tomlin, who wrote the script for The Batman Part II, also publicly backed Paul Dano. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Tomlin praised those who showed support for Dano after Quentin Tarantino made what he considered unfair comments. He highlighted Dano’s talent as both an actor and a director, urging people to watch Dano’s film ‘Wildlife’ and noting his impressive control and empathy as a filmmaker. Tomlin stated he was ‘really pleased to see so many people cheer on Paul Dano this week.’
