In a thrilling revival, television’s most notorious serial killer, Dexter, returns from the dead in the fresh Paramount+ series titled Dexter: Resurrection. The storyline finds Michael C. Hall’s complex anti-hero traveling to New York City in an attempt to reconcile with his son.

“I’ve spent as much time not doing it as I have doing it over the past [20 years].”

Hall additionally talked about his experience resurrecting the character, as confirmed by the showrunner Clyde Phillips that Dexter had previously passed away.

According to Hall, the notion that he could pull through from that gunshot wound and be granted a second chance, grew more captivating by the moment. Once the discussion began, I found myself yielding completely.

What will happen in Dexter: Resurrection?

The series resumes several weeks later, with Dexter Morgan waking up from a coma following a gunshot wound inflicted by his son [in New Blood]. To his dismay, Harrison has vanished without a clue as to where he might be.

Recognizing the burden of his actions towards his son, Dexter embarks on a journey to New York City with a firm resolve to locate him and set things straight. However, finding peace won’t be straightforward.
