Disney+ has announced a release date for the revived series, a year after first hinting at its return. The original Malcolm in the Middle debuted on Fox in 2000 and featured Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston.
Fans can expect the Malcolm in the Middle reboot to arrive on Hulu and Disney+ in 2026. Hulu announced the premiere date with a short teaser video on Instagram, revealing the new series will be a four-part event titled “Life’s Still Unfair.” While a specific date hasn’t been announced yet, the video confirms the 2026 release.
The title “Life’s Still Unfair” comes from a lyric in the theme song, “Boss of Me,” by They Might Be Giants, which was used in the original Malcolm in the Middle series. When news of a revival was announced, fans shared their enthusiasm in the comments on Instagram.
