Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette Sues Mormon Wives’ Demi Engemann

Marciano Brunette is taking Demi Engemann to court.

The star of Vanderpump Villa is suing a cast member of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, claiming she damaged his reputation by publicly accusing him of inappropriate touching earlier this year.

As a longtime supporter of Marciano, I was really disturbed to learn that Demi has been publicly calling him a ‘sexual predator.’ According to court documents TopMob News got a hold of on December 7th, Marciano feels this false accusation has seriously harmed his reputation, and he’s taking legal action because of it.

While filming a joint episode in Italy, Marciano claimed he kissed Demi. However, Demi, who has been married to Bret Engemann since 2021, stated that any physical contact was not welcome.

In court documents, Marciano claims the kiss they shared off-camera was agreed upon by both parties. He alleges the 31-year-old is now portraying the encounter as sexual misconduct and assault to create drama for their reality show.

He claimed they continued communicating after their trip to Italy, and included copies of text messages she supposedly sent as part of his legal case. He also stated that Demi shared her location with him, arguing this showed they maintained a relationship, not that she was responding to a sexual assault.

A representative for Demi didn’t respond to requests for comment from TopMob News. However, Demi has stated in the past that the advances made towards them were unwanted.

She explained on the show that everyone reacts to difficult situations in their own way. But she emphasized that no one ever deserves to be touched without wanting to be, regardless of the circumstances or their relationship with the person doing it. Unwanted touch is simply unacceptable.

Demi’s representative stated their support for her, telling TopMob News they were upset that the situation she experienced was being downplayed, especially considering she is a woman.

Demi explained that the situation reminded her of previous difficult experiences and also caused problems with her colleagues. They disagreed about what happened and some didn’t believe her version of events.

She explained during the recent SLOMW reunion (aired December 4th) that she’d never allow herself to be in a similar situation again, which was upsetting, particularly because revisiting it brought up painful memories. She added that it was more hurtful to not be believed and to repeatedly have to recount the experience than to simply acknowledge what happened, even if it was difficult. She stated it felt worse to relive the pain than to admit, ‘Yes, we kissed. Yes, this happened.’

Demi explained that the incident resurfaced difficult experiences from her past and caused friction with her colleagues. They disagreed about what happened and some questioned her account.

She explained during the SLOMW reunion, which aired on December 4th, that she’d never allow herself to be in a similar situation again, and it was upsetting because revisiting it brought up painful memories. She added that it was more hurtful to have her experience doubted and to repeatedly relive the trauma than to simply acknowledge what happened, even if it was difficult. She wished she had just admitted what occurred instead of continuing to explain and defend herself.
