A lot of Batman shows and movies are being removed from HBO Max in December – honestly, it’s a pretty extensive list. There are reports (from JustWatch) that even more comic book adaptations will disappear from the streaming service in January. We’re just the messenger, so please take this as a warning: watch these titles before the end of the year, because they’ll be gone by December 31st.
Here’s a list of movies and shows that will soon be removed from Max: Beware the Batman, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three, Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic, and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. Additionally, the following titles are leaving HBO on Prime Video: Supergirl, Black Adam, Watchmen: Chapter I, Watchmen: Chapter II, and Injustice.
It’s a Real Bummer To Be Losing These Titles

The cancellation of the animated series Beware the Batman was a disappointment for many fans. The show, which originally aired in 2013, stood out with its unique animation and introduction of fresh heroes and villains. Viewers praised the series for moving beyond Batman’s usual foes, featuring characters like Anarchy, Lady Shiva, and Magpie. However, opinions varied on certain interpretations; one viewer found the portrayal of Harvey Dent particularly unlikeable. On the other hand, the versions of Alfred and Katana were well-received, with many appreciating their dynamic with Bruce Wayne. Another fan currently revisiting the series highlighted its solid storytelling and use of lesser-known characters. They were especially intrigued by the show’s exploration of the Batman persona as a potentially corrupting influence on Bruce, a concept they hadn’t seen explored much before, and praised Katana’s role as a compelling sidekick.
The removal of Watchmen: Chapter I and II is disappointing for many fans, who consider them the most accurate and well-done adaptations of the original comic book. One Reddit user praised them as a loving tribute to the graphic novel, highlighting how the animation perfectly captured the comic’s dark, film-noir style and brought the artwork to life. They also appreciated that the pacing and dialogue closely matched the source material. Hopefully, these chapters will become available on another streaming service soon.
