Avatar: Fire and Ash Premiering Earlier (But Only For a Select Group of Fans)

James Cameron proved the success of Avatar wasn’t a fluke with 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water, which earned over $2.3 billion globally and secured the franchise’s future. Now, Avatar: Fire and Ash is set to be the biggest film of 2025, promising another stunning visual experience following Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). Excitement is building for this new installment, which introduces the Ash People as the villains, and it’s expected to be a massive cultural event best experienced in a movie theater. While most fans will have to wait for the official release, a lucky few will get an early look.

Disney is giving D23 Gold Members a special preview of the new movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash, before it comes out in theaters everywhere. This is one of the benefits of the $49.99 yearly membership, which also includes exclusive merchandise and access to events. Most members can get free tickets on a first-come, first-served basis – one for themselves and one for a guest. However, those attending screenings in Orlando and Glendale will need to buy tickets for $15, plus a $3 service fee. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

The D23 Special Screening of Avatar: Fire and Ash Is a Great Opportunity for Fans

After Avatar changed what people expect from movies, getting good seats to see a new James Cameron film when it first comes out is incredibly difficult. The popularity of formats like IMAX and Dolby Cinema means fans often have to wait weeks to see the movie the way it was meant to be seen. That’s why the Fire and Ash screenings at D23 are a great opportunity to enjoy the latest installment without the hassle of trying to get reservations.

The event will take place over two days. It begins with free screenings on Tuesday, and then continues with ticketed events in Florida and California. These ticketed events include vouchers for popcorn and drinks.
