CI Games and Hexworks have launched update 2.5 for the action RPG Lords of the Fallen. This update makes boss fights more challenging, introduces a new ‘Veteran Mode’ for increased difficulty, and includes other improvements.
Here is an overview of the update, via CI Games:
After more than 70 updates based on player feedback, Lords of the Fallen has released its last major update, version 2.5. This free update for all players makes boss fights and enemies much more challenging, introduces a new ‘Veteran’ difficulty level, adds new animations for boss weapons, includes a new armor set, and more!
- Deadlier Bosses and Enemies – Across both Legacy and Veteran modes, bosses, mini-bosses, and regular foes have been reworked with refined combos, improved AI, faster recovery, and increased aggression for a more challenging Soulslike experience.
- Veteran Mode: The Ultimate Challenge – Face a far deadlier trial designed for players who have mastered Mournstead with the new Veteran Mode difficulty setting. Faster transitions, new attack patterns, and heightened aggression transform familiar encounters into unpredictable battles.
- Boss Weapons Reforged – Several iconic boss weapons now feature brand-new signature attack animations, adding fresh depth, impact, and identity to these coveted tools of war.
- New Armor Set – Conquer Veteran Mode to earn the Veteran of the Veil warplate, a high-end armor set featuring a unique passive that boosts item drop rates.
Version 2.5 is the final update for Lords of the Fallen. It’s the result of player feedback and extensive testing, and we’re releasing it as a thank you to everyone who has played and supported the game.
You can now play Lords of the Fallen on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
