Lucasfilm Games and Arcanaut Games are creating a new Star Wars role-playing game called Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic. It’s designed to capture the spirit of the beloved Knights of the Old Republic games. You can watch the game’s announcement trailer above.
Casey Hudson, who directed games like Knights of the Old Republic and the original Mass Effect series, is heading up the development of this new game.
We haven’t announced which devices this will work on yet, and development is still in its early stages, but here’s a detailed look at what we’re building.
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is a brand new single-player action role-playing game with a strong focus on story. It was created by Arcanaut Studios and Lucasfilm Games, and it carries on the legacy of the beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Arcanaut Studios, led by experienced game director Casey Hudson – known for his work on the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect series – is creating a large-scale, interactive adventure. Set in a galaxy undergoing a revival, the game allows players to make choices that determine their journey towards either the light or dark side.
