January Will Be a Huge Month For James Bond Fans With Netflix

Netflix has been quietly securing rights to some great movies that other companies were previously holding onto. Surprisingly, MGM – now owned by Amazon and Prime Video – is now licensing films to Netflix again, both in the US and internationally. Recent additions include popular titles like Bottoms, House of Gucci, and Bones & All.

Fans of James Bond have a lot to look forward to! All of the 007 films, including Never Say Never Again, will be available on Netflix starting January 15th. While most of these movies are new to the streaming service, viewers in some countries won’t be able to watch No Time To Die.

This Is A Big Deal For Netflix

All of the films coming to the platform are:

  1. Dr. No (1962)
  2. From Russia with Love (1963)
  3. Goldfinger (1964)
  4. Thunderball (1965)
  5. You Only Live Twice (1967)
  6. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)
  7. Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
  8. Live and Let Die (1973)
  9. The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
  10. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

  12. For Your Eyes Only (1981)
  13. Octopussy (1983)
  14. A View to a Kill (1985)
  15. The Living Daylights (1987)
  16. Licence to Kill (1989)
  17. GoldenEye (1995)
  18. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
  19. The World Is Not Enough (1999)
  20. Die Another Day (2002)
  21. Casino Royale (2006)
  22. Quantum of Solace (2008)
  23. Skyfall (2012)
  24. Spectre (2015)
  25. No Time to Die (2021)
  26. Never Say Never Again (1983)

Similar to other content deals Netflix makes, these licensed titles will likely be available for around three months. This new agreement includes popular shows and movies like Fargo, Rocky, Creed, and The Addams Family, and is expected to significantly boost viewership on the platform.

Netflix and MGM have a history of collaboration. MGM Television produced the hugely popular Netflix series Wednesday, which premiered in 2022 and is set to return for a third season around mid-2027. Netflix has exclusive rights to Wednesday throughout its entire run, and will continue to have those rights for ten years after the show ends, demonstrating a strong and successful partnership between the two companies.
