New details about Rob Reiner’s final hours are coming to light.

According to multiple sources who spoke with the L.A. Times and People magazine, director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, had an argument with their son, Nick Reiner, at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party just one day before they were found dead in their Los Angeles home on December 14th.

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Rob and Conan for comment but has yet to hear back.

Following the discovery of Rob, 78, and Michele, 68, deceased, Nick—the co-writer of the 2015 film Being Charlie, which was directed by his father—was arrested on December 15th on suspicion of murder, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He is currently being held while the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reviews the case to determine if charges will be filed.

TopMob News reports that Nick was initially granted a $4 million bail, but the LAPD now states he is being held without bail.

Following the tragic event, the family of Rob and Michele confirmed their deaths. They are survived by their children, Jake Reiner, 34, and Romy Reiner, 28. In a statement to Variety, the family expressed their deep sorrow and requested privacy during this incredibly challenging time.
