A highly anticipated video game, considered by many to be one of the best of 2025, is reportedly coming to both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. 2025 has already been a fantastic year for Nintendo fans with popular releases like Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. However, several third-party games, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Arc Raiders, haven’t been available on Nintendo consoles, disappointing many players. Now, it looks like a popular game currently only on PlayStation 5 and PC will be launching on Switch and Switch 2 in just over a month.
A recent leak suggests that AdHoc Studio’s Dispatch will be available on Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 in late January. Dispatch is an episodic adventure game released in October and November of this year, and it’s set in a world focused on the daily lives of superheroes. The game was created by former developers from Telltale Games, so it plays similarly to popular titles like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales From the Borderlands. Like those games, Dispatch has been a critical and commercial success, becoming one of the highest-rated games of 2025.
The information about the game Dispatch comes straight from the Australian Nintendo eShop, making this a very reliable leak. While Nintendo and AdHoc Studio haven’t officially announced Dispatch for Switch, the game is already listed on the eShop with a release date of January 29th, suggesting an official announcement is likely coming soon.
Hopefully, Dispatch will be one of several games released by outside developers in 2025 that also come to Nintendo consoles. The new Switch 2 will be more powerful than the original, which should allow more games from different companies to be available on Nintendo systems than we’ve seen in years. This means we might not have to wait long to see popular 2024 titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Arc Raiders arrive on Nintendo as well.
