At All In by AEW, there was initially scheduled to be a TNT Championship fight between Adam Cole and Kyle Fletcher. However, that didn’t materialize as planned. During the pay-per-view event, it was announced that the one-on-one title defense had been transformed into a 4-way match for an empty TNT Championship. This change was due to an unspecified injury suffered by Cole, and he seemed quite emotional during his in-ring address, hinting at a prolonged absence.
Cole has not disclosed his specific health problems, but due to medical reasons, he cannot compete for the TNT Championship at the moment. It’s uncertain when, or even if, he will return to competition. He briefly mentioned retirement in conversation, but hasn’t made a definitive decision on that yet. However, he hinted that this could be his farewell, and if it is, he wanted to address the crowd personally.
A heartfelt message from @AdamColePro.

Cole expressed his difficulty in finding the right words, but felt it was important to speak with everyone. He apologized for letting everyone down as he won’t be able to compete tonight due to some health concerns. These issues will keep him away for a while, and although he doesn’t want to contemplate retirement at this moment, he may be stepping away. If this is farewell, he wanted to take this opportunity to speak with the incredible wrestling fans who deserve it, as they are the best in the world.
As far back as my childhood days at age 9, a passion ignited deep within me – a burning desire to become a professional wrestler. Through the years, you, the audience, fueled this dream, cheering me on across various promotions, from one corner of the world to another. Your unwavering support has brought my lifelong ambition to fruition, and I can’t express enough how profoundly grateful I am for your role in making it a reality.
Through my best and worst times, you’ve been incredibly supportive every step of the way, and let me tell you, I will forever cherish your support. I can’t express enough how grateful I am. However, I don’t want to keep you any longer as we have an extraordinary wrestling pay-per-view unfolding right now. Tonight, we’ll crown a new TNT Champion. AEW continues to break new ground in pay-per-views, and it’s all thanks to you. You’ve made AEW what it is today – unique, special, and life-changing. Thank you.
A New Champion
Following Cole’s departure from the ring, I had the pleasure of witnessing an intense TNT Championship bout featuring Kyle Fletcher, Sammy Guevara, Dustin Rhodes, and Daniel Garcia. The fight kicked off with a chaotic free-for-all, but it eventually settled into more individual skirmishes. A spectacular superplex by Garcia on Guevara was one of the highlights, although Rhodes came close to securing a pin, only for it to be thwarted. Later in the match, Rhodes paid back the favor by foiling a pin attempt by Guevara as well.
After Garcia elevated his knees during Guevara’s frog splash, he attempted to seal the victory with a submission hold, keeping Guevara pinned until Fletcher intervened. Fletcher followed up with some strong power slams and appeared ready to claim the win, but Rhodes unexpectedly managed to pin Garcia in a roll-up, securing the title for himself. Now, Dustin Rhodes is the proud owner of the AEW TNT Championship, taking many in the crowd by surprise.
Regarding Cole, we’re eagerly waiting to discover more about the current situation shortly. Meanwhile, our team at ComicBook sends our warmest wishes for a swift recovery to Cole.
