The FIFA Video Game Will Return, on Netflix of All Places

FIFA is a strangely confusing name for the organization that runs global soccer. Many people actually think of the popular EA Sports video game when they hear ‘FIFA,’ rather than the often-criticized group in charge of the sport.

When the publisher announced it would become EA Sports FC a few years ago, FIFA promised to create a competing game.

That’s now been announced – and it’s coming to, er, Netflix courtesy of Delphi Interactive.

This California game developer hasn’t released a game yet, but they are currently helping IO Interactive with their 007 First Light project.

The next FIFA game is coming to Netflix before the next World Cup. It’s designed to be an accessible and exciting experience for all players, capturing the fun and energy of the tournament in a way that’s easy to pick up but offers depth for those who want to master it.

You can play the game on either your phone or your TV – using your phone as the controller. A Netflix subscription is all that’s required.

Another FIFA game has been released, but it likely won’t cause much concern for EA Sports or its new owners in Saudi Arabia.
