Everyone is eagerly awaiting the trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. There’s been some confusion about how Marvel Studios will release it, with rumors suggesting four short teasers will be shown before the new Avatar movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash. Many fans online are buzzing with excitement, trying to guess what the teasers will reveal about the movie. However, some fans miss the days when Marvel would simply release one full trailer online for everyone to watch and analyze.
Looking back at all the trailers for Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, it’s clear they’re usually great at building hype without spoiling the story. However, some stand out as truly exceptional. Here’s a ranking of the seven best MCU movie trailers ever made.
7) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Teaser Trailer
Ryan Coogler and his team faced the incredibly difficult challenge of continuing the Black Panther series after the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a heartfelt tribute to both the character and the actor, acknowledging the profound impact they had on so many. The film’s first trailer establishes a somber mood, exploring themes of loss and grief, but also hints at a hopeful future.
6) Spider-Man: No Way Home Teaser Trailer
While Spider-Man films generally have strong trailers, the teaser for Spider-Man: No Way Home is particularly memorable. It clearly establishes Doctor Strange’s part in the story and excitingly brings back classic villains like Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina). Importantly, the trailer managed to keep the surprise appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield a secret.
5) The Avengers Trailer 2
Everyone knows The Avengers – it’s the movie that brought Marvel’s biggest heroes together for the first time. But before it came out, it was a big gamble for Marvel Studios. Luckily, the film’s second trailer showed fans exactly what to expect: thrilling action and a now-iconic group shot of the heroes that has become a defining moment for the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
4) Thor: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer
Many fans found the first two Thor movies too dark and didn’t feel they captured the fun, colorful spirit of the comics. Thor: Ragnarok is different – the teaser trailer immediately shows a much lighter, more playful tone. With Asgard threatened by the villain Hela, Thor must return home, sporting a new look and teaming up with an unexpected ally. The Ragnarok teaser is effective in almost every way, even though it hints at a major plot twist.
3) Avengers: Endgame Official Trailer
The anticipation for Avengers: Endgame after Infinity War felt endless. What kept fans going was the marketing campaign, which really gained momentum with the release of the official trailer. It began with clips from previous films to establish the mood, then showed the devastation Thanos caused. The trailer ended with a hopeful note, revealing Earth’s heroes gearing up for a comeback in awesome Quantum Realm suits.
2) Captain America: Civil War Trailer 2
While it’s awesome to see the Avengers united, the tension and conflict between them are even more exciting. The latest trailer for Captain America: Civil War really explores the growing rift between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, giving us a glimpse of their epic showdown. However, the real highlight is the post-credits scene, where Spider-Man meets the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes. It’s a fantastic trailer, but another one was even better.
1) Avengers: Infinity War Trailer 1
For years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe hinted at the arrival of Thanos, but fans didn’t get a full look at him until the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer begins with powerful narration echoing Nick Fury’s famous speech from The Avengers, then introduces Thanos with a dramatic entrance as he emerges from a portal and starts causing destruction. It also gets high marks for finally showing the Guardians of the Galaxy interacting with members of the Avengers team.
