Sources say a well-known actor will make a brief appearance in the upcoming Supergirl movie. The film, based on the comic Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, is scheduled for release in summer 2026. Milly Alcock stars as Supergirl, and the cast also includes Matthias Schoenarts, Eve Ridley, Jason Momoa, and others.
Seth Rogen said to have a cameo in Supergirl movie
On the recent episode of John Rocha’s podcast, The Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider reported, according to a source, that Seth Rogen makes a voice appearance in the upcoming Supergirl movie. However, Sneider admitted he didn’t find out which character Rogen voices and didn’t ask his source for that information.
There were rumors that the actor from The Studio would be the voice of Krypto in the movie. But, according to a post by Sneider on X (formerly Twitter), he was informed that Seth Rogen wasn’t actually voicing the character.
Right now, this is just speculation, and there’s no official confirmation or trustworthy news to support it. Fans will simply have to wait for the movie’s release to see if Seth Rogen appears in it.
During the episode, Sneider talked about a recent test screening of the movie. According to a source who saw it, the film was well-received, which aligned with pre-screening buzz suggesting it was good. While the source enjoyed it even more than Superman, they felt there was still potential for improvement. One specific criticism was that the film felt too similar to Guardians of the Galaxy, especially in its use of popular songs during key moments.
According to an inside source, viewers thought Milly Alcock was excellent as Supergirl, but the villain wasn’t very impressive. People are expected to enjoy Jason Momoa’s portrayal of Lobo. While the action scenes were decent, they weren’t particularly noteworthy. The movie won’t feature any significant surprise appearances, except for David Corenswet as Superman, who has a fairly substantial role.
The movie Supergirl will be released in theaters on June 26, 2026. Craig Gillespie directed the film, based on a script by Ana Nogueira.
