Okay, so I’m super excited – Patapon 1 & 2 Remaster, which is basically a fancy new version of those awesome rhythm-strategy games on PlayStation, is getting some brand new content! I can’t wait to jump back in and command my Patapon army again.
The publisher has teased a new game mode coming in a game update, slated for 22nd December 2025:
The description for a new video announces a free update for Patapon 1+2 Replay, including a brand-new game mode. Fans are encouraged to watch for more information soon.
It’s rare for a remastered game to receive free downloadable content, so it’s exciting that the original Patapon games are getting brand new content added to them.

I have no clue what they’re planning, but I’m guessing it’ll be a nice little treat for us fans – probably not a massive overhaul or anything. Luckily, the update is coming out in just a few days, so we won’t have to wait long to find out!
