The anime series Dr. Stone, based on the popular manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, will finish airing in April of next year as part of the Spring 2026 season. The original manga concluded in 2023, and TOHO announced the final season, Science Future, would be split into three parts. The first two parts have already been released, leaving only the concluding section to resolve the remaining mysteries. The announcement was made at Jump Festa 2026, a major annual convention celebrating anime and manga, particularly series from Shueisha’s publications like Weekly Shonen Jump and the Shonen Jump+ online platform.
The anime Dr. Stone recently revealed a new image showcasing Senku and Dr. Xeno, along with a trailer introducing the character Sai Nanami. Sai is a fan-favorite from the original manga, and viewers are excited to see him appear in the final episodes. While the exact number of episodes hasn’t been announced, it’s likely around 12, based on previous seasons. You can watch the new episodes on Crunchyroll, the leading anime streaming service, and also find all the previous episodes there.
Dr. Stone Is All Set to Wrap Up The Story in Science Future Cour 3

The new season continues the story right after the last one ended, with Senku and his Kingdom of Science setting sail for North America on the Perseus. They’re on a mission to collect everything needed to build a rocket and finally confront the mysterious “Why-Man.” Their first task is to find crucial materials – things like platinum, special metals, and, surprisingly, corn – which sends them across the globe. However, they discover that Senku’s old teacher, Dr. Xeno, has already established a high-tech base there and has gathered a team of supporters.
The story has evolved significantly, and the Kingdom of Science now faces major hurdles due to Stanley and his team. As a final showdown looms, the Kingdom prepares to battle the Why-Man and rebuild a civilization lost over millennia. Dr. Xeno has become a valuable ally, lending his unique skills to the group, but they still need one more member to complete their team.
I’m so excited about the newest developments in the Kingdom of Science! They’re building a spaceship, and they need a mathematical genius to make it happen. Ryusui seems to have found the perfect person for the job! We only got a quick peek at this character, Sai, in the trailer, but the anime’s website finally revealed his design. And get this – they’re hinting at more announcements about him soon, calling him the most brilliant mathematician alive! I can’t wait to see what he brings to the story.
