By 2025, twenty people had won the UK version of Taskmaster, and each of them proudly owns the show’s golden trophy – which bears a resemblance to the host, Greg Davies.
Only three people have ever won the title of Champions of Champions, but a fourth will join them soon.
Tonight, December 22nd, the five most recent champions will compete in a special one-time battle to determine who is the most skilled and impressive.

Andy Zaltzman
Age: 51
Job: Comedian
Andy Zaltzman is a comedian, best known for his comedy work across politics and sport.
David Zaltzman began performing comedy in 1999, starting with a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He quickly gained recognition, becoming a finalist in the ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ competition for new comedians.
Over the next few years, Zaltzman started creating his own shows, such as ‘Andy Zaltzman versus the Dog of Doom,’ ‘John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman Issue a List of Demands and Await Your Response with Interest,’ and ‘Andy Zaltzman: Satirist for Hire.’
He’s also performed his comedy on radio and television, including a guest appearance on Russell Howard’s Good News Extra. He even won Celebrity Mastermind, showcasing his knowledge of French sculptor Auguste Rodin as his chosen specialty.
He appeared on Taskmaster in 2024.
John Robins
Age: 43

As a big fan of comedy, I’ve been following John Robins for years. He’s a really talented guy – a stand-up comedian, radio host, and podcaster – and it’s amazing to think he’s been making people laugh for over twenty years now!
Like a lot of up-and-coming comedians, Robins started his career by entering the ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005. He’s since become a frequent performer at the festival.
In 2017, he jointly won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show with Hannah Gadsby for his show, The Darkness of Robins, which honestly explored the end of his relationship with comedian Sara Pascoe. He was also a contestant on Taskmaster in 2024.
Maisie Adam
Age: 31

Job: Comedian
I’m a big fan of Maisie Adam! You’ve probably seen her being hilarious on shows like Mock the Week, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and A League of Their Own – she’s brilliant!
She’s also been on TV shows like Celebrity MasterMind and Tipping Point, and will appear in the second season of Last One Laughing UK on Prime Video in 2026.
You can watch Maisie Adam’s comedy special, Appraisal, on Sky and NOW. She also co-hosts the women’s football podcast, Big Kick Energy, alongside Suzi Ruffell.
She appeared on Taskmaster in 2025.
Mathew Baynton
Age: 45

Mathew Baynton is an actor and member of the Them There comedy group. He’s best known for his work on popular shows like Horrible Histories, Yonderland, and the recent hit, Ghosts, which he also helped create.
He has also appeared in the likes of Gavin & Stacey, Wonka and A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
He appeared on Taskmaster in 2025.
Sam Campbell
Age: 34
Job: Actor and comedian

Sam Campbell is an Australian comedian who first became well-known in Australia through stand-up and online comedy videos. He quickly earned positive reviews and built a strong fanbase.
I was really impressed with this comedian’s early success! He made quite a splash at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, taking home the Best Newcomer award in 2015, and then proving it wasn’t a fluke by winning the Most Outstanding Show award just a few years later in 2018. A fantastic start to what I expect will be a brilliant career.
He moved to the UK and won the main award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2022 for his performance at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.
He is set to appear alongside Maisie Adam in Last One Laughing, coming to Prime Video in 2026.
He appeared on Taskmaster in 2023.
