As a long-time fan of the iconic Alien franchise, I can barely contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Alien: Romulus. Having grown up watching the terrifying adventures of Ellen Ripley and her encounters with the deadly Xenomorphs, I’ve eagerly awaited each new installment in the series since the original film premiered in 1979.


20th Century Studios is giving us a sneak peek at “Alien: Romulus,” the latest installment in the Alien series, coming to theaters on August 16th. This fresh TV spot gives us a closer look at the terrifying xenomorph from the franchise, keeping some of its mystery intact. Since the monster first struck fear into audiences back in 1979, fans have been eagerly anticipating this new adventure. Catch a glimpse of the all-new promo for “Alien: Romulus” below!

In a thrilling return to the origin of the renowned Alien series, Alien: Romulus finds a team of young explorers stumbling upon the greatest cosmic nightmare in the depths of an abandoned space station.

In this movie, we have Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), and Aileen Wu. The film is directed by Fede Alvarez, known for “Evil Dead” and “Don’t Breathe”, who co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues (of “Don’t Breathe 2”). They based their screenplay on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.

The sci-fi film “Alien: Romulus” is crafted by Ridley Scott, who previously directed the original “Alien” and served as both director and producer for the series’ installments “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant”. Additionally, Michael Pruss from “Boston Strangler” and Walter Hill of “Alien” are also involved. Fede ?lvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon, Brent O’Connor, and Tom Moran act as executive producers on this project.

1979 marked the debut of the groundbreaking Alien series, which has since spawned six main films and two collaborative movies with the Predator universe. Additionally, it has led to video games, literature, comic books, and toy collections. The upcoming movie Romulus is expected to fan the flames of enthusiasm even further, as Marvel Comics announced a prequel would be released to establish the backstory for the spinoff.

Marvel Comics offers an exclusive new tale in this issue, shedding light on the backstories of the film’s iconic adversaries. Set before the movie’s events, this one-shot comic provides valuable insights into the origins of the film’s primary antagonist. In collaboration with director Fede Jlvarez and Rodo Sayagues, who co-wrote “Alien: Covenant,” this must-read comic serves as a captivating prequel to one of the most eagerly awaited summer films.
