Stranger Things runtimes confirmed for final four episodes – including epic finale – as Netflix series breaks ratings record

The final episodes of Stranger Things season 5 are coming out very soon – just days away! We now know exactly how long we’ll be able to binge-watch them, whether you’re watching on Boxing Day or Christmas Day in the US.

Ross Duffer, one of the creators of the show, shared the lengths of episodes 5 through 7 on Instagram. He also announced how long the final episode will be when it’s released in the UK on New Year’s Day.

The upcoming episodes have the following run times: “Shock Jock” is one hour and eight minutes, “Escape from Camazotz” is one hour and fifteen minutes, and “The Bridge” is one hour and six minutes.

The final episode, called “The Rightside Up,” will be two hours and eight minutes long. While it’s a long episode, it’s still significantly shorter than the season four finale.

The announcement came after the show broke its own viewership record with the first part of its fifth season. According to Deadline, these episodes earned an impressive 8.46 billion viewing minutes during their first week, making it the most-watched week ever for any streaming show.

Before this, the first part of Stranger Things season 4 held the record with 7.2 billion minutes viewed in its first week. But season 5’s premiere easily surpassed that number.

The final episodes of Stranger Things will be shown in movie theaters, a first for any series on Netflix.

Unfortunately, moviegoers in the UK won’t have a chance to see the climactic battle on the big screen, as the film isn’t being released in cinemas there.
