Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show might be due for a one-off revival, according to one of its stars.
I absolutely loved watching Mark and Jeremy, the two flatmates at the heart of this surprisingly popular show. Their relationship was so funny – they clearly loved and hated each other! They were both pretty selfish and often made terrible decisions, and their dating lives were a complete mess, but it made for brilliant TV.
The show’s ninth and last season aired in 2015 after a three-year hiatus, and seemed to wrap up the characters’ stories. However, Matt King, the actor who played Super Hans, suggests they might reappear in the future.
He recently told The Sun that when the show finished in 2015, the creators, Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, hinted at a possible return, saying they’d revisit it in ten years with a special episode.
King explained that he checked in with them six months ago, and they expressed continued interest, but said they were too busy to commit to a ten-year agreement. He’s optimistic it will eventually work out.

Armstrong is also known for creating the popular HBO series Succession, which centers on a self-absorbed and powerful family in the media world. He recently wrote and directed Mountainhead, a new darkly humorous take on the world of business.
Recently, Bain worked with Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement on the Apple TV+ show Time Bandits, a fresh take on the classic Terry Gilliam movie of the same name.
During the same interview, the actors from Peep Show had different opinions about bringing the show back. Isy Suttie, who played Dobby, said she’d be happy to return if asked, but thought it might be best to wait a bit longer before considering a revival.
She jokingly suggested they’d still be doing this in twenty years, with Mark and Jez in a nursing home and them living nearby in apartments.
However, Sophie Winkleman, who famously played ‘Big Suze’ in the show, wasn’t so sure about a revival. She thought it might be best to leave the original as is, since bringing back old shows doesn’t always succeed.

This week on The Great British Bake Off, airing Christmas Day at 8pm on Channel 4, David Mitchell, Robert King, Matt Suttie, and Isy Suttie will be joined by their former Peep Show co-star, Olivia Colman, for a special themed episode.
He explained at the Rose d’Or Awards that he wasn’t able to participate because he was filming his children’s show, ‘High Hoops,’ in Yorkshire. The show, which airs on CBBC, focuses on a girls’ basketball team.
“I was sad to miss out, it would have been great. [But] I’ve never baked a thing in my life!”
