Will there be a Fallout: New Vegas remaster? What the developers have said

Are you hoping for a remastered version of Fallout: New Vegas before revisiting it? But realistically, how likely is that to happen?

With the buzz around Fallout season 2 bringing New Vegas back into the spotlight, many people are wondering if a return to the iconic location is actually possible – and it just might be!

So, is a Fallout: New Vegas remaster in the works? Here’s what you need to know.

Will there be a Fallout: New Vegas remaster? What the developers have said

As of today, a remastered version of Fallout: New Vegas hasn’t been officially announced, but there’s more to the situation than that.

In July, Jordan Middler from VGC reported on the Friends Per Second podcast that several Fallout projects are currently in the works, including one fans have been eagerly anticipating.

However, he points out that the game is still in early development and won’t be released to players for quite some time.

In November, Todd Howard from Bethesda revealed the team was working on both Fallout 76 and another project, which reports later identified as a remastered version of Fallout 3.

After the recent announcement, well-known Xbox news reporter Jez Corden tweeted that a new Fallout: New Vegas game is also in development, though he didn’t share any specifics.

That’s pretty much all the information available regarding a possible remaster of New Vegas. While the sources, Middler and Corden, are generally reliable, it’s always best to view rumors with some skepticism.

Okay, so it looks like the New Vegas remaster is still a ways off – like, probably not until 2027. A lot of fans are hoping it might come out around the same time as season 3 of the Fallout TV show, which would be awesome!
