Everything Coming to HBO Max in January 2026

The new year kicks off next month with plenty of fresh movies and shows arriving on streaming platforms. HBO Max just announced its January schedule, giving viewers a preview of what’s coming. Among the new additions, two original titles are expected to be the biggest draws for fans.

Fans of HBO dramas have two new shows to look forward to in January. Season two of the medical series The Pitt arrives on January 8th, with new episodes released each week. Then, on January 18th, HBO will premiere A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the eagerly awaited prequel to Game of Thrones.

And I recently watched a really impactful CNN Original called Justice Defenders: Change Inside Prison, The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper – it was incredibly moving.

The HBO original documentary, 33 Photos from the Ghetto, shares the story behind a unique collection of photographs taken during the Warsaw Ghetto uprising in April 1943. As a member of the Warsaw Fire Service, he witnessed the horrific aftermath of the uprising and captured a rare, civilian perspective on one of the most tragic events of World War II.
