Taylor Swift is always paying the check before it kisses the mahogany grain.
As a little holiday cheer, I’m thrilled to share that Kylie Minogue recently made another incredibly generous donation to Feeding America! It’s so wonderful to see her continuing to support such a vital organization, especially during a time when so many families need help. It really warms my heart to know she’s using her platform for good.
Feeding America’s CEO, Claire L. Babineaux-Fontenot, announced on December 23rd that Taylor Swift donated $1 million to the organization. She stated that Swift’s ongoing support is a wonderful example of how much can be achieved when people work together to fight hunger, especially during the holidays.
She added that by supporting those struggling with hunger, we can help ensure families have enough food not just for the holidays, but all year round.
Taylor has maintained her support for Feeding America over the past year. She previously donated $5 million to the organization following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, aiding relief efforts.
The organization publicly thanked Taylor for supporting their efforts to fight hunger and help people in need.
For two decades, Taylor has been known for her generosity. Starting in 2014, she famously began a tradition called “Swiftmas,” where she surprised fans with thousands of dollars in gifts and cash around the holidays.
In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic created hardship for many, she started sending money directly to fans who were struggling.
In 2020, Taylor wrote a letter to a fan named Erin, saying she was deeply touched by Erin’s tweets about the financial and emotional difficulties she was facing. Taylor expressed her sympathy for Erin losing her job and the current uncertainty, and sent her a gift of $3000 to help. She also fondly remembered meeting Erin in New York and wished her safety and good health.

Taylor Swift demonstrated incredible generosity during The Eras Tour. She gave substantial bonuses to everyone working on the tour – her crew, band, and team – and also made significant donations to food banks in each city she visited.
Aditi Desai, the Chief Marketing Officer at the Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver, said Taylor Swift donated “tens of thousands of meals” to the organization while she was in town for her 2023 Eras Tour. Desai admitted she was both surprised and delighted by Taylor’s generosity.
She told the Associated Press that the people involved were very kind and had shared that Taylor Swift wanted to thank them for their daily work in the community.
Taylor Swift has evolved throughout her career, but some things haven’t changed. From the beginning, she’s consistently said that one of the best parts of her success is being able to donate to others.
She shared in a 2009 interview on The Hot Desk that creating a positive environment for others brings her more joy than any luxury purchase. ‘I’d rather make sure everyone feels comfortable and valued than buy a Lamborghini,’ she said.
Honestly, it’s just so her. She always says it’s about feeling lucky – like she’s been given so much good in her life, and she just wants to pay it forward. She truly believes in helping others whenever she gets the chance, and it’s the sweetest thing ever! It really shows who she is as a person, you know?
