WWE Reveals Ethan Page’s NXT Title Opponent for No Mercy

As a lifelong wrestling fan who’s seen more than my fair share of matches, I have to say that tonight’s Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship shot was nothing short of spectacular! Wes Lee, Pete Dunne, and TNA’s Joe Hendry put on a show that had me on the edge of my seat. The way they delivered impressive spots and traded moves was truly a sight to behold.

Following multiple contenders vying for the opportunity to challenge NXT Champion Ethan Page at No Mercy, Ava Raine confirmed a Triple Threat Match tonight on NXT. The contestants included Wes Lee, Pete Dunne, and TNA’s Joe Hendry, each giving their all with stunning stunts. While Page watched from commentary, he couldn’t resist inserting himself into the action, pulling out the referee just as Hendry was about to win. Page persisted in meddling, preventing Hendry from securing two victories, but then Trick Williams retaliated, helping Hendry secure the win, thus confirming the match between Page and Hendry at NXT No Mercy.

No Love Lost

Initially, Lee and Dunne swiftly targeted Hendry, but their confrontation soon escalated between them prior to the final bell. At this point, Hendry retaliated forcefully, ejecting Dunne from the ring, followed by subduing Lee with a powerful slam. Henry executed a vertical suplex on Dunne, only to be countered by a series of blows and a dropkick from Lee. Determined, Dunne regained his footing and brought down Lee before renewing his attack on Hendry, focusing particularly on his hand with repeated stomps.

As a gamer, let me tell you, Dunno and Hendry were trading fierce blows, but then things got intense when Lee joined in with a heavy hit from Dunne. In response, Lee tried to counter, but Hendry caught him off guard with an impressive move that left him reeling into Dunne’s vital areas. This sent poor Dunne tumbling out onto the floor. Then, Lee retaliated with a super kick on Dunne, and in the next instant, both of us were down after Hendry executed a spectacular top flip.

Initially, Lee and Dunne exchanged blows, but later on, Hendry re-entered the fray. However, Dunne managed to land some powerful punches on Hendry, regaining control. Dunne subsequently knocked Lee out of the ring and focused his efforts on Hendry. Hendry retaliated with strikes and clotheslines, eventually taking down both Lee and Dunne with a clothesline each. Immediately following, he delivered fallaway slams to both opponents.

In the heat of the game, I grabbed those shining stars and nailed a double fallaway slam, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The chants echoed through the arena as I went for another slam on my opponents, but Dunne intervened. I took another hit from Dunne, reeling slightly, but Lee followed suit, taking us both down. Dunne tried to disable me by bending my fingers back, then locked Lee in a similar hold. In a swift move, he slammed Lee onto me and pinned him, but the resilient Lee managed to kick out.

Hendry Overcomes The Odds

In this wrestling match, Lee successfully knocked out Hendry initially and made Dunne slightly unsteady with a DDT, but Dunne managed to survive. At one point, Henry hoisted Dunne aloft and slammed him down, only for Lee to trip him up and execute the frog splash. However, Hendry managed to kick out from the ensuing pin attempt. Later, Gabbed grabbed Lee’s hand and fractured his fingers, but their encounter led them back into the ring where Hendry applied a finishing move and attempted a cover. Yet, Page interfered by pulling the referee out of the ring before the three-count could be made.

After being provoked by Page’s sabotage attempts, Henry forcefully pushed Lee onto the announcement podium in a fit of rage. In the wrestling ring, Henry slammed Dunne once more, attempting to pin him down. However, Page prevented the second referee from entering the ring. Frustrated, Henry was later taken down by another slam from Dunne. Despite this, Trick Williams executed the Bitter End on Dunne and managed to restore the referee, resulting in a win for Hendry and a Title shot at No Mercy.

Without warning, Zachary Wentz suddenly charged and assaulted Lee, retaliating for the betrayal he suffered a couple of weeks prior. Although their upcoming confrontation at No Mercy is probable, as of now, the bout hasn’t been formally declared.
