Pinocchio: Unstrung, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey Spinoff, Unveils First Poster

As a seasoned gamer and movie buff with over two decades of immersive entertainment experiences under my belt, I must say that the upcoming horror-themed expansion of the Poohniverse, particularly Pinocchio: Unstrung, has piqued my interest in ways I never thought possible.

In the near future, the universe of Pooh will grow larger. Following the financial victories from two movies in the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey series, Jagged Edge Productions is delving into other characters from the public domain to give them a darker, horror twist. This includes an upcoming film called Pinocchio: Unstrung, which offers a chilling reinterpretation of Carlo Collodi’s classic story.

At long last, Jagged Edge has unveiled an authentic film poster showcasing their upcoming project, hinting at a chilling take on Pinocchio that escapes his wooden bonds to embark on a spree of violence. Take a peek at the poster right here below.

2025 marks an expansion of the Poohniverse as “Pinocchio: Unstrung” joins the scene, and we at Bloody Disgusting are thrilled to exclusively reveal the movie’s official poster today. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from this highly anticipated horror film based on Pinocchio:

Rhys Frake-Waterfield, director of “Unstrung,” mentioned during an interview with Bloody Disgusting that the film will make use of practical effects as much as possible, encompassing everything from the doll itself to the movie’s title card. With a budget larger than his previous film, “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2,” he aims to create the ultimate horror version of Pinocchio and surpass all his past work. Keep an eye out for upcoming cast announcements!

As a dedicated fan, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the news that Scott Chambers, the mastermind behind Jagged Edge, shared with ComicBook earlier this year. He hinted at a potential future where these beloved characters would come together in a terrifying spectacle, much like the epic crossover seen in Avengers: Endgame, but with a chilling twist – a horror movie extravaganza!

Back in March, I shared some exciting news – I’m bringing together a world of my favorite characters! Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamt of a movie where Leatherface, Hellraiser, Chucky, and others would all appear together. I thought it was just wishful thinking, but here I am making it happen! So, get ready for a wild ride as we bring together Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Bambi, and many more iconic characters. They’ll cross paths, clash, and create chaos in ways you’ve never imagined before!

“He went on to say that goal is completely achieved with these films. You might notice that Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Bambi are either completed or currently being developed. As you watch the movies, keep an eye out for hidden references, known as easter eggs, which can be found throughout these films. These stories all take place in a shared universe.”

Watch “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey” on Peacock, and the sequel is available for viewing on Amazon’s Prime Video.
