Netflix is losing more and more Marvel content. When Disney+ launched, it significantly reduced the number of Marvel shows and movies available on Netflix, although Sony’s Spider-Man films have helped maintain some viewership. Currently, many Spider-Man movies aren’t on the platform, and in January, Netflix will remove another well-liked Marvel title that came out before the Marvel Cinematic Universe began.
As a huge movie fan, I’ve always found Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk fascinating – it’s one of those films that really splits audiences. Some people think it actually got to the heart of the comic book in a way other adaptations haven’t, really focusing on what makes Bruce Banner tick. Others just didn’t connect with it, and honestly, a lot feel it hasn’t aged well. But one thing’s for sure: it’s never dull. It’s a real shame it’s becoming harder to find and watch, because it’s a unique take on the character.
The movie Hulk will no longer be available on Netflix after December 31st. It’s one of several titles leaving the streaming service at the end of the year, officially departing on January 1st.
As Hulk and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance are being removed, there will be very few Marvel movies left on Netflix by 2026. Currently, the service still includes the two Amazing Spider-Man films, as well as Kraven the Hunter and Venom: The Last Dance.
