PlayStation Is Shutting Down Concord

The game is being developed further, with new options to explore and better reach players.

The highly-anticipated game, Concord, developed by Firewalk Studios and released by PlayStation, is being shut down less than a month after its debut. This week, the game director of Concord announced on the PlayStation Blog that the game would be taken offline on September 6th. The announcement comes following numerous reports of poor sales and low player numbers for the Steam version of the game. Ryan Ellis, the game director of Concord, stated that Firewalk Studios and PlayStation will consider possible actions to improve reach to players in the future.

In the meantime, sales of Concord are being suspended, and those who bought the game are getting a refund. Ellis said that those who bought Concord via Steam will get an automatic refund soon with the same happening over in the Epic Games Store as well. PS5 players will also be getting refunded, but if you bought a physical version of the game, you’re advised to take it up with the retailer.

We want to express our gratitude to everyone who embarked on this adventure with us aboard the Northstar. Your backing and the thriving community that has sprung up around the game have truly touched us.
