Now, 17 years later, it’s still considered one of the most highly acclaimed anime of all time.

While the exact number of episodes isn’t confirmed, it’s likely the final part will have around 12, similar to previous seasons.

The anime finished its third season’s second part in January, marking the end of the series after seven years. The final episode hinted at a continuation of the story with a new series called Soul Eater, which follows the events of Fire Force. The original Fire Force manga ran for ten years, starting in 2003, and its creator, Ookubo, has now returned with a prequel.
