Demon Slayer's Tanjiro is Hyped For The Infinity Castle Trilogy

As a seasoned anime enthusiast with over two decades of immersion in the vast world of Japanese animation, I must say that the anticipation for Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle Arc is nothing short of electrifying. Having followed Tanjiro Kamado’s journey since its humble beginnings, it’s awe-inspiring to witness the evolution of both the characters and the storyline.

In the fourth season of Demon Slayer, known as The Hashira Training Arc, our protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, along with other young slayers, were engaged in a challenging journey to learn from the elite members of the Demon Slayer Corps while also striving to survive. Most episodes during this arc featured non-demon battles, but the demon lord Muzan made a significant appearance in the season finale, hinting at the upcoming climactic arc, The Infinity Castle Arc. The anime adaptation has revealed that three feature-length films will be dedicated to this storyline. Recently, voice actor Natsuki Hanae has expressed his thoughts on the Infinity Castle and the eventual battle against Muzan.

In the final episode of Season 4, Muzan confronted Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite being doomed as soon as Muzan appeared at his residence, the corps leader had anticipated this encounter and was ready to face the primary antagonist. In a selfless act, he detonated an explosive, inflicting substantial harm on Muzan and allowing the Hashira to intervene with their intent to slay the chief demon. Regrettably for our protagonists, they were all drawn into the Infinity Castle, setting the stage for the toughest battle they will encounter in the upcoming movies.

Tanjiro Is Ready For the Infinity Castle

In a recent chat, Natsuki Hanae expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming movie trilogy: “At last, we’re venturing into Infinity Castle, and as Tanjiro, I’m thrilled to finally engage in combat against Muzan! Let’s all cheer for him and unite with Tanjiro to vanquish Kibutsuji Muzan together! I promise to give my best and pour my soul into portraying Tanjiro. So, everyone, lend your support to Japan. Thank you very much!” You can watch the full interview by clicking on the video below.

At present, Ufotable has not revealed any specific release date for the upcoming Demon Slayer trilogy of films. Given the immense popularity of previous Demon Slayer films, the Infinity Castle trilogy is expected to create a significant impact in both the anime film genre and the global box office. With Demon Slayer: Mugen Train still holding the title as the highest-grossing anime film ever, it will be intriguing to observe if these upcoming movies can surpass this record.
