As a lifelong WWE enthusiast who has witnessed countless matches, I must say that Andrade vs LA Knight was a true spectacle! The energy in the ring was electrifying, and both superstars showcased their raw talent and skill throughout the five-round battle. The high-flying moves, hard-hitting strikes, and near-pinning moments kept me on the edge of my seat!
Following an exhilarating series of five bouts versus Carmelo Hayes, Andrade earned the opportunity for a challenge against LA Knight’s WWE United States Championship. Tonight’s SmackDown was the stage for their encounter, and as anticipated, both titans delivered an impressive performance. Knight didn’t shy away from forcefully ramming Andrade’s head into the commentary table repeatedly, nor did he fail to execute jaw-dropping elbow drops from the top rope. In response, Andrade showcased remarkable moves from the top rope and a devastating back elbow strike that nearly sealed the victory. However, Knight managed to secure a surprise win with his BFT, maintaining his grip on the United States Championship.
A Respectful Start
Following a mutual display of respect, Knight and Andrade engaged in a series of counterattacks, skillfully dodging near-fall pins and a Backstabber. Afterward, Andrade exited the ring momentarily before both combatants traded blows with chops. Subsequently, Andrade landed a strike and a crossbody on Knight, but the Champion managed to survive for a short while after that.
A Thrilling Finale
In the corner, Andrade attempted a double knee strike, but Knight deftly dodged and pinned the contender down, though Andrade managed to kick out. Knight then hurled Andrade into the turnbuckle and executed a neck breaker, but again, Andrade kicked out at 2. Andrade made an attempt for a high dive, but couldn’t maintain control. The Champ remained standing. A second try with double knees followed, but once more, Knight managed to kick out at 2.
Instead, Knight seized Andrade and slammed him down before launching himself from the top rope for an elbow drop. Andrade countered a BFT attempt, retaliating with a massive back elbow strike, yet somehow Knight survived the pin just before the 3 count. Andrade attempted to corner Knight but was twice caught by him, losing his footing. However, Andrade missed the big dropkick and Knight capitalized with a BFT, effectively ending the challenger’s chances.
