PlayStation Fans Hijack TLOU Season 2 Trailer to Complain About PS5 Pro Anniversary Availability

As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of nostalgia for the original The Last of Us, I must say today was supposed to be a triumphant day, but alas, it seems PlayStation has managed to put a damper on the excitement. The trailer drop for Season 2 couldn’t have come at a more inconvenient time, right after the fiasco with the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle.

Today should be a very exciting day for most PlayStation fans. There’s a lot of cool stuff happening today, including the release of the first trailer for The Last of Us Season 2. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of people just aren’t in the mood to celebrate. The trailer had some unfortunate timing, dropping shortly after a whole lot of people tried (and failed) to get the PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition BundIe. Fans haven’t really had time to get over their frustrations, and they’re bringing them up in the replies to all of PlayStation’s posts on X/Twitter, including the one sharing the trailer for TLOU.

As a devoted fan, I’m really disappointed about the issues I encountered with the website. Spending over an hour only to be booted off PlayStation direct, followed by another hour waiting for the elusive remote, isn’t my idea of fun. And to make matters worse, it seems some bundles are being resold on eBay for exorbitant prices, far beyond their original asking price. This situation has left many of us frustrated, and I can only hope that PlayStation will find a solution soon. Ideally, they’d increase the availability of these bundles to make them more accessible without breaking the bank, but we’ll have to wait and see if that becomes a reality.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve noticed that while some comments expressing apprehension can be found across various reactions to the trailer for The Last of Us Season 2, it’s clear that the majority are from enthusiastic viewers. Many fellow fans are expressing equal parts excitement and trepidation about witnessing the storyline of The Last of Us Part II unfold on screen. Numerous fans are subtly hinting at the significant death in the game, while others are openly discussing it. If you’re not familiar with the game’s plot, I would recommend avoiding comment sections on social media or YouTube related to the show until Season 2 premiere, to avoid potential spoilers!
