Following a ten-year run as a top-rated children’s animated series, Ever After High – a beloved favorite among viewers – will be departing from Netflix in the near future, joining numerous other titles on their way out. Since its debut on Netflix back in 2015, Ever After High has consistently been one of the platform’s biggest successes in the kids’ animated category, leaving fans puzzled as to why it is being removed.
However, fans need not fret, as they can still find Ever After High streaming at an alternative location.
When is Ever After High Leaving Netflix, and why?
Ever After High initially aired in 2015, followed by a total of five distinctly named seasons over time. The fifth and final season, called “Epic Winter,” premiered on August 6, 2025, under Mattel’s production.
Starting from August 6, 2025, exactly five years after the final season graced our screens, I’ve noticed that the show is set to depart Netflix. This seems to suggest that the show is leaving due to licensing matters with Mattel. Given that it appears we had a five-year exclusive run, this window will conclude in August of this year.
Another interpretation for this might be: It’s possible that the reason Netflix is taking down the show, even though it had a total of 47.20 million viewing hours from 2023 to 2024 (according to What’s On Netflix), could be due to the numerous expressions of dismay from fans over its removal, as seen on forums like Reddit.
Rest assured, you don’t have to fret! Although Ever After High won’t be on Netflix anymore, you can still catch all its episodes by streaming them on the official YouTube channel dedicated to the series. So, if you’re eager to watch it, simply navigate your way to the YouTube channel instead of Netflix.
Additionally, in August 2025, Ever After High won’t be the only title leaving Netflix. They are also planning to remove Jared Fried: 37 & Single, Million Yen Women, Victim Number 8, and Kardec from their platform during the same month.
