If you’ve ever dreamt of sneaking around like Solid Snake while pirating your heart out, this might just be the golden age of piracy for you.

If you’ve ever wanted to live out some Solid Snake fantasies while plundering other pirates, there’s great news.

On Wednesday, the developers at Rare, part of Xbox Game Studios, provided a summary for Season 14 of Sea of Thieves, offering gamers a sneak peek into the upcoming changes and additions for this continuous pirate-themed journey.

In our earlier discussion, you learned that Season 14 introduces exciting new features for gamers to explore. Among these novelties are a grappling gun for diverse movement options and a versatile blowgun with multiple dart types. Additionally, this season will introduce crouching mechanics and the ability to disguise yourself as barrels or treasure chests in-game. For a comprehensive look at these updates, check out the overview video linked below.

These latest additions to the game have significantly emphasized stealth, a feature that was previously absent. Consequently, the aesthetics for this particular season mainly revolve around covert operations, with a sprinkle of Halloween-themed costumes to match the creepy ambiance of the season.

Sea of Thieves Season 14 is slated to launch on all platforms on Oct. 17, 2024.

Initially released in February 2018, Sea of Thieves has been continually updated, enlarging its playable universe and introducing a plethora of new quests, gameplay features, and more. This development is also reflected in its growing player community, with the game surpassing 40 million players on both Xbox and PC this year prior to the launch of its PlayStation 5 version.

Sea of Thieves can be found on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5. Similar to other Xbox first-party games, it’s also part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and PC Game Pass offerings.
