Despite the long wait for the next book, The Winds of Winter, and the mixed reactions to the Game of Thrones finale, the A Song of Ice and Fire franchise remains popular. This is partly due to new shows like House of the Dragon and the upcoming Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. But mostly, it’s because the best parts of Game of Thrones were truly exceptional – a testament to the quality of the original source material, one book of which recently celebrated an anniversary.

Shonen Jump is a very competitive magazine, and many new series are cancelled quickly – often before they even reach 20 chapters. Even after that initial period, a series is still at risk of cancellation for its entire first year. While any series can be cut at any time, fans are particularly concerned that Harukaze Mound and Otr of the Flame might end soon, despite having already surpassed the 20-chapter milestone.

Dastmalchian recently told Comicbook that his favorite projects to work on are ‘Count Crowley’ and ‘Knights vs. Samurai,’ mentioning they’re very close in his estimation. He jokingly compared it to a horse race, saying he often thinks about how to make ‘Knights vs. Samurai’ a reality. He envisions it as a unique blend of ‘Shogun,’ ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Dungeons & Dragons,’ and ‘Excalibur.’

While on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, director Edgar Wright discussed his ideas for a potential Barbarella movie. He said he’d aim for a closer adaptation of the original comic books, explaining his fondness for the 1968 film, which he saw at a young age. He praised the original script by Terry Southern, noting its distinctive style and moments of brilliance, and described both the film and the source material as visually stunning, playful, and forward-thinking.

It’s become more difficult to release adult games on Steam lately, though the exact reasons for these rejections aren’t clear. While Steam does allow sexually explicit content, it requires all characters to be portrayed as legal adults. This is more permissive than platforms like Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo, which don’t allow such games at all. Steam has traditionally been known as a very open platform, but recently, there’s been an increase in games being rejected, leaving some developers confused.

While it might seem like pro tournaments are profitable, Harada explained in an interview with The Game Business that they actually don’t generate revenue for the fighting game communities they support.
