Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Features “Some” New Voice Recordings from Returning Actors

As a long-time fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia hearing that Major Zero himself, Jim Piddock, is lending his voice once more to this iconic character for the remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It feels like reuniting with an old friend after years apart, and I can’t wait to hear his distinctive delivery once again.

It’s been made clear that the upcoming game “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater” will utilize voice acting from the original “MGS3”. Most of these recordings will remain unchanged, but it appears that some fresh recordings from experienced actors reprising their roles are also included in the game.

According to Jim Piddock, the voice actor of Major Zero from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, he’s taken part in some fresh recordings for the forthcoming remake’s release, as he announced on Twitter recently.

It’s worth noting that Piddock isn’t the only cast member set to reprise their roles for the remake – Lori Alan, who originally voiced ‘The Boss’, has also confirmed her return via Twitter.

About a week ago, David Hayter, who voices both Solid Snake and Big Boss in the Metal Gear Solid series, hinted at his return to the role of Big Boss for an unnamed project. It’s probable that he was alluding to “Metal Gear Solid Delta”.

As a gamer, I’m eagerly waiting to find out what the fresh recordings for this remake hold in store. Previously, Konami hinted that the game will include re-recorded dialogues, but it’s still uncertain if we’ll also get some brand new lines along with them. Only time will tell!

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Absolutely, we’re ready for this fresh recording featuring the originals. As always, I remain Major Zero. Until next time.
