Squid Games’ Anime Double Reveals New Live-Action Adaptation

The new live-action film, Kaiji: Jinsei Revenge Game, is scheduled for release in Japan on January 29th, 2027. A recently released trailer gave fans a sneak peek, and confirmed that Tatsuya Fujiwara will reprise his role as the gambling protagonist. Fujiwara first played Kaiji in 2009’s Kaiji: Jinsei Gyakuten Game, and returned for Kaiji 2: Jinsei Dakkan Game (2011) and Kaiji: Final Game (2020). Currently, there are no plans for a new Kaiji anime series, making this film the best way to revisit the thrilling world of high-stakes gambling. You can watch the trailer below.

PlayStation Plus Adding 8 New Games in June 2026

The biggest highlight for the PS Plus Game Catalog this June is likely to be Final Fantasy XVI, launching on June 16th. This popular installment in the Final Fantasy series came out in 2023 and was a hit with both players and reviewers. Joining Final Fantasy XVI this month are other great games like Sonic X Shadow Generations, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and Blades of Fire. For PS Plus Premium subscribers, the classic PS2 game Gitaroo Man is the only new addition this month.
