Give a moment’s consideration to Bend Studio, creators of games like Syphon Filter and Days Gone. After their initial game received generally positive (but not exceptionally stellar) reviews, they were working on an open-world live-service multiplayer title that was unfortunately cancelled this year. It appears there may be other projects they had planned but didn’t proceed with as well.
According to Timur222’s findings, Jacob Feith’s LinkedIn profile suggests that he has been involved in several unannounced or canceled projects. His role included designing open-world events and missions, creating prototypes for events, puzzles, and systems, collaborating with animators on in-game cinematics, and much more.
Ever since I joined the studio back in 2019, when Days Gone was first released, it’s hard not to ponder about the potential projects we might have overlooked along the way. With around 30% of our team reportedly let go, the “unannounced” part does spark some optimism that we’re working on something fresh and exciting.
