Emmerdale spoilers for next week as Coronation Street crossover reveals John Sugden gunpoint nightmare

Get ready for a big crossover event! Next week, characters from Emmerdale and Coronation Street will meet for a special episode. A major car crash near Hotten will bring the residents of both shows together for the first time.

The drama begins as Aaron Dingle schemes to remove John Sugden from the picture, leading to tragic results. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Boyd takes pregnant Charity Dingle to the airport, where she plans to reveal a life-changing secret about her baby.

Things really hit the fan for Ray and Celia – their whole operation gets uncovered! I’m seriously worried about Bear Wolf now, because with everything out in the open, his safety is definitely on the line. It’s a tense situation, and I’m on the edge of my seat wondering what’s going to happen to him.

Here’s what you can expect to see on Emmerdale from Monday, January 5th, to Friday, January 9th.

Emmerdale day-by-day guide

Monday, 5th January (30 minute episode at 7pm)

The week begins with a disturbing scene: someone is pulling a dead body away, and we don’t know who the victim is or who committed the crime.

Throughout the village, John is being held captive at The Mill – tied up, unable to speak, and with a gun pointed at him. Meanwhile, Aaron tries to prove his loyalty by knocking Robert unconscious and proposing they leave Emmerdale together to start a new life.

As they made their escape and shared a kiss, Aaron suddenly seized the moment. He grabbed the gun and demanded his ex-husband drive them to the police station, intending to turn himself in.

Robert woke up and begged Joe for help, and they sped towards the trouble. Even with a gun pointed at him, John stayed in control of the car and floored it, while Aaron reached for the steering wheel. The car swerved wildly on a dark, rain-soaked road…

Mackenzie was enraged to find out Charity wasn’t carrying Sarah and Jacob’s baby and immediately wanted to reveal the truth. Trying to conceal his emotions, he insisted she join him in the car and sped off into the night, determined to intercept them at the airport.

Charity quickly understands he’s discovered her deception when he speeds up, convinced he’s seen Cain and Moira’s vehicle ahead.

Laurel feels guilty about hiding something, while Rhona makes a secretive phone call and Marlon sends a text that raises eyebrows. Meanwhile, Ross arrives at the vet with a visibly upset April, and it becomes obvious that several people are keeping secrets from each other.

But could there be more repercussions from Celia and Ray imminent?

Monday 5th January (Hour-long Corriedale crossover at 8pm)

As Cain and Moira drove Sarah and Jacob to the airport, Mackenzie’s headlights suddenly flashed, momentarily blinding them. Mackenzie slammed on the brakes, but it was too late. He watched in shock as Mack and Charity were thrown through a fence and into a nearby field.

A crash involving multiple cars and several people from Weatherfield has caused major traffic delays. As a van drives by, the driver spots a frightened woman tied up and unable to speak.

Who are they?

Fortunately, paramedics arrived quickly and took everyone to Hotten General Hospital. But the story doesn’t end there – this event will change some people’s lives forever.

Tuesday, 6th January (30 minute episode at 8pm)

There’s complete carnage at the hospital as revelations come to the forefront over what happened.

After confessing, the person felt a weight lifted, believing they were no longer suspected. However, unknown to them, someone had been secretly recording everything they did.

There’s a shadow cast over one beloved character, who has no idea they’re in mortal danger.

Wednesday 7th January (30 minute episode at 8pm)

April has shared everything with her family and insists they involve the police. However, the surprises aren’t over – she then reveals that Bear has been kept as a slave at Celia’s farm for months.

Just as they begin to think about their next move, the group understands that what they do could have significant repercussions. An agreement is reached, but someone breaks their word.

Thursday 8th January (30 minute episode at 8pm)

Bob arrives at The Woolpack and tells all about Ray and Celia’s disgusting operation.

When Paddy got back, Rhona asked him in, and that’s when she told him… it was awful. He was really shocked, but he immediately turned to April and Dylan, making sure they knew this wasn’t their fault. He said we all need to concentrate on finding Bear, because he’s still missing and that’s what really matters right now.

Elsewhere, Moira is sickened when Ross tells her about Ray and Celia’s crimes.

Friday 9th January (30 minute episode at 8pm)

The police warned Paddy that things looked very bad regarding Bear. He then joined Rhona, Marlon, and April, and they all desperately wished for the situation to improve. However, April remained convinced she would eventually be arrested for Callum’s death.

Jai was getting ready to drive to Manchester with a load, but Caleb told him to hold off until tomorrow. Caleb didn’t know there was a body hidden inside the van.
